lewis and clark trail museum

This was a great place to stop and get a little bit of history. Lots to see and to read. Several great places for photo ops too. Even when you think you know a little about a subject there is always more you didn't know.

It is very close by the hotel. The museum has an amazing collection of artifacts from the good old days. The small town is very civic minded.

Not well kept. Some of the displays (the one I wanted to see) had fallen down in the display case and could not be viewed. But there was definitely a lot to see, most of it noteworthy.

The Lewis and Clark Trail Museum in Alexander ND just 20 miles south of Williston on Highway 85 is worth your stop.An hour is surely not enough. Make sure to schedule plenty of time. Also available is an RV park.
