I have know Mrs. Sakuma when she was alive. She was a great friend and amazing person. The story she shared about the Sakuma farm is so beautiful. You can get great Strawberries! This is a wonderful place to visit during the season!
They had Golden raspberries! Blueberries, strawberries, apples and green tea grown right there. Inside they had a selection of berry jams.
The produce is great and you can pick your own berries, but I go for the strawberry shake. Obviously a seasonal attraction but something to look forward to in Skagit Valley. Stop in and try one of the delicious treats, you won't be disappointed.
I always the to see the closing of the farm stand because it means I have to wait 9 months for the next Sakuma Sundae. They mix fresh berries with just the right amount of sugar to make the ultimate berry sundae over vanilla ice cream. Old time goodness. Ah.
Their produce is fresh and clean and really is well priced. They have good ice cream and jams available for purchasing, plus many other items.
Great farm store, and fun to do the U-pick when strawberries and other berries (blue, Black, Rasp, Tay) are in season.
Sakuma Brothers has a number of crops forsale, but they are mostly known for their strawberries. They have extensive strawberry plantations and also do a pick-your-own which is popular with families.
Sakuma is consistently great for wonderful sweet local berries! But beware if you try their shortcake - it's irresistible!
Get all the valleys fresh fruit here. At the price that is easy on the pocketbook as well.
This is my go-to place for the first strawberries of the season, their's are so big and super sweet. They make shortcakes that are delishious.
This is a well established family farm that grows many varieties of berries. It offers "you pick" as well as already picked strawberries, 3 colors of raspberries, blackberries, blue berries, tayberries, boysenberries and some I've probably overlooked. They also have a counter to order smoothies, shakes, sundaes and shortcake. To top it off they have some fresh veggies, herbs, flowering plants, dressings, kitchen items as well as "train rides" in little barrels pulled by a tractor. My 2+ granddaughter loved it. It has a great location for a break from the road trip for a few fresh berries or a treat. We sometimes ride bikes there. It's close to Samish Island, Edison, Bow and Mt. Vernon's flat biking roads.
