One of the nicest places you will golf. Call ahead for tee times. Of course it's spendy but well worth it. I love playing this course. It's got a driving range and a practice putting green. Again this is the nicest course around and must be played.
Beautiful course and facilities. Challenging but not overwhelming for most golfers. Excellent carts and clubhouse. Tee times recommended. Twilight rates available.
My golfing friends have raved about this course so I finally decided to drive over the pass to give it a try. Besides, all the Seattle area courses were just too soggy from all the rain lately. Mid-October turned out to be a good time to try the course, as it wasn't very crowded, the autumn colors were great, the course was in excellent condition, and the air temperature was very comfortable at around 62 degrees. Finding the course with my GPS was fairly easy, but it would have helped to have golf course signs posted at key intersections. The clubhouse is gorgeous with nice views of the island green and the garden island. The carts are electric and quite powerful (much nicer than the gas-powered carts), and it was nice to find ice in the little ice-chests on the carts to keep your drinks cold. At least this year the greens were not aerated in the autumn (but will be in the spring), so the greens were in great shape. The overall course was very well maintained and attractively designed. A lot of money has been put into the water hazards with well-defined margins, rockery, small waterfalls, bridges and a garden island with a water fountain. The white sand in the front 9 bunkers was nice and fluffy; the back 9 bunkers weren't quite so nice. First-timers like me could have used better signage to know where to go next, but now that I've played it once, it will be no problem navigating the course in the future. Free Fuji apples at the first tee. The par 3 17th was all it was cracked up to be, and clearly their signature hole. Bottom line, I'd rate this course as one of my favorites in Washington, surely in the top 5 of courses I've played. It had a country-club type of feel to it, but at a reasonable price. I'd like to try this course again when all the apple trees are blooming in the spring.
Golfed here while in college. It's one of my favorite golf courses in the state. It's a hard course, but not so hard that it's not fun. Bring golf balls for the hole n the shape of an apple which the course is of course known for. Great course. I love to now just play this course for fun.
The famous hole 1, an apple shaped par three, surrounded by water and the stem is the entry, is a wonder. Bring lots of golf balls as this site will make you smile. The first time I played this course, I put 8 balls in the water from the white tee box as I was determined to hit the green. I next put three more into the water from the level drop area and finally got to putt. This course is a beautifully maintained and fun course. The sun is out much of the time. The only issue is to NOT book the golf package with a local hotel AS you will be paying about $40 more that if you booked the two separately. Yes, you get a bag with a couple of balls, a driving range token or two.
