Have been to VaPiano's many times now. All have been positive experiences. The Syrah is stunning! Brought friends to Walla Walla on New Years Day, not realizing until then that most of the tasting rooms were closed for the season. BUT, just a phone call to VaPiano, and Justin (the proprietor) invited us over even though the place was closed. Gave us a special tour and a special tasting. Even if you're not a wine club member, you're treated as though you are. Just can't say enough good things about VaPiano as it is THE model for outstanding world class wine w/o the Napa snootiness. This place should be the epicenter to your visit to Walla Walla.

We (3 couples) visited & tasted wine at several wineries in the Walla Walla area & this one was our favorite experience overall. The wines are very good & a good price point. The best thing was that we were told to take out glasses out to the patio & they would bring the tastings out to us there. The weather was perfect & we sat outside & played with Duke & Barley the dogs while wine was poured & explained to us. A very nice young woman did the pouring (she was Barley's mom but didn't get her name) was so sweet & accommodating to our group. We would go back again when in the area.

Hi,Thank you for coming by to visit us this past weekend. I'm sorry that the experience was not what you were expecting, but I appreciate your feedback. We have grown quite a lot since you visited last and are now offering a wider selection of wine, including two options that retail for under $25, both of which we were pouring when you stopped by. For either a $5 or $10 tasting fee (including reserve tastings), we typically offer three to seven wines, and always waive tasting fees with a coordinating bottle purchase. We always encourage tasting, whether or not our customers choose to buy a bottle. With 3 to 7 tastings, we feel that is an excellent opportunity to taste over a glass and a half of our wines at a reasonable $5-$10. Additionally, we offer glass pours at the winery, which is a great way to try a new vintage of our hand crafted, small lot wines without buying the bottle. We hope you will visit us again soon and stay to try our wine.Thank you!

Hi Jerry,Thank you for stopping by Va Piano and also for taking a moment to provide a review. We recently introduced our 2011 Cabernet and 2011 Syrah, both of which received at least 90 points from Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast! Please come back and try the new wines when you are in Walla Walla again!Cheers,Anna

Hi Richard -- Thank you so much for coming into the winery. It was a very busy weekend, especially Saturday for us, and we do our best to take care of our customers. We have some really fun and great wines coming out this next year and look forward to giving you another great experience in your next visit. Don't hesitate to give us a call if you're in town again and we'll look to show you around the winery! -- Josh

Thank you for your kind review! We love our Bruno's Sauvignon Blanc as it's our favorite wine during our hot summers! Thank you again for coming in to our tasting room and we hope to see you soon. Our latest Syrah and Cabernet (released this past weekend) are quite possibly our best!-- Josh

Although Va Piano feels like you're in Tuscany, the wines that are made are unique in flavor -- representing the great wine producing region of Walla Walla And, although I am a 'red snob' I fell in love with Bruno's 2012 Sauvignon Blanc this trip. Named after Father Bruno Segatta, a native of Italy, the Bruno offering is always a fun one to sample. The wines are as lively as the man.Va Piano's Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are unique and intense in flavor. Simply take in the aroma of each glass and you're transported to wine-heaven. They are well balanced and yet complex. Simply love that. You should make this a 'must stop' when touring the wines of Walla Walla.

We visited over Labor Day weekend 2013 and received excellent service! I had mentioned that Syrah was my favorite grape so they let us taste the black bottle 'reserve' wines and they were fabulous! I purchased the 2011 Portteus Syrah and now wish I would have splurged a bit more and also purchased their Les Collines Syrah. Definitely a return visit for us next year!

We found the wines here pretty amazing, and with good price points. The reserve Syrah's were incredible, too bad they are for club members only. Justin, the wine maker, gave us a quick tour. Amazing how they can make such great wines in such a small location. A definite must in you are in the area.

The wines are good. Our favorite was the Cab Franc, which was only available to the wine club or for purchase at the winery. They happened to have a bottle open that we could try because a wine club client had been there earlier and tried it. We bought a couple of bottles. Needs a few more years of aging but will be terrific when at its peak.

Wines were just OK and the atmosphere was more like a frat house party than a relaxing winery visit.
