Great to enjoy the beach. Getting the park from the parking is a little crazy, not good for strollers or elderly or people with walking challenges because the road from the parking to the beach is steep. The park has playground along with swimming segregated for children to know how far they should go.
Of course we're going to rate it high!Tip: Do something outside here the first Saturday of August if you like to see the Blue Angels practice for Seafair
Bring a book, a towel and a refreshing beverage. You have every age at this park and fun for all. Looking at the lake, sneak off to the right and you can have a private place to relax and enjoy the beauty. There is a path an lots of area away from the mainstream. There is a bit of a walk down from the upper parking lot - especially if you are chunky or have arthritic knees. Sneak your Grandma's Handicap parking pass and there is a second lot that is much closer. I have loved this park for 45 years. Take the time to visit in next time you are in Bellevue - especially in the summer.
This is a beautiful little park, a great place to sit, swim, or smell the flowers. Excellent garden, I'm always amazed when I come to Seattle, Bellevue, and the surrounding areas. Nice for a picnic, and the sign read that there will be a lifeguard on duty, so bring your trunks and suits.
Nice relatively quite neighborhood beach park tucked away in the hearts of Bellevue. There are grassy areas with shades and sunny sandy beaches, it's nice to have options and not needing to bring beach umbrellas. Great place for families with young kids.
We moved to this neighborhood because of this great little waterfront park. The kids swam in the lake here every summer and our labrador retrieved hundreds of tennis balls during the "off season". The beach area can get packed in the summer, so just sit up on the grassy slope and enjoy the warm sun and views west to Seattle.
A small park, not easy to find. There are quite a few steps to go down. Nice to see it once, I would not go again.
I love to go to that park, sit by the water , enjoy sunset and just watch kids playing on the grass.
Such a nice place and great for walks. Even the path behind the property which leads to a baseball field is a fun hike.Very well maintained!
Want a fairly low volume waterfront park with great views across the lake - Chism Beach Park may be what you're looking for.Ample parking, if you can find the park.. hey, I said hidden from most didn't I?Other than the goose poop which is normal for any waterfront park, the park is kept very clean and feels safe.
Named after the family who donated this large waterfront property to City of Bellevue @ 1967.Beautiful beach
