This place holds a lot of history. It is where Wild Bill was shot. His chair is still there in a glass case over the door. The problem is that there is a casino in the saloon now. When I visited back in the 70s and 80s there was a card table set up just inside the door showing how the card game was when Wild Bill got shot. Now that isnt there and there is a full casino. Its sad that they have taken away any historical meaning that this place had.
Enjoyed the music and locals! Include Saloon 10 as a stop on your trip to Deadwood and the area. Local band Phatt Daddy had folks up and dancing as soon as the music started.
We love playing cards here. Great fun dealers and wonderful atmosphere too. Very old west saloon feel to the place.
We came here for a few drinks and to explore deadwood, this was worth a stop not only good drink but great service, will stop here every time we come to deadwood.
we shared a Philly chicken sandwich it was just right for two and not bad. The memorabilia from the movies was interesting. Draft beer was good also
Stopped in for after supper drinks and to relax. So glad they have Rum Chata!! Pictures on walls nice addition to decor. Bartenders nice and friendly.
Watched the show about Wild Bill being shot. It was fun. They took people from the audience and used them in the play.
We came here for Mardi gras. We didnt try the food but the drinks were great. Service was pretty quick considering how busy it was that weekend
well didnt expect to get the food i did, considering it was an old place above saloon 10,creaky uneven floors, nothing attractive about the place. i almost left, then took a look at the menu which seemed descent and ended up having a fantastic dinner!
a very cool place. black jack tables in the back and tons of memoribilia on the walls. a replica of the chair where wild bill hitcock was shot hangs on the wall. a replica because the bar had burned down multiple times and the original one was lost in one of the fires. i also recoment the buffalo/elk burger, its very good
I always stop in here when in deadwood, fun place and lots of people to meet and greet. Usually there is a band to boot. You have to see Wild Bill Hicocks death chair above the door.
I loved the historical setting. I also LOVED the delicious dinner given to us as being a part of the Black Hills Regional Ski for Light Program.
We really liked the place...spent some time taking it all in....looking a pictures and antiques "everywhere" the owners dogs were a great addition.....doggies were entertaining and so friendly.....loved it when they got their treat from the cashiers window.....made a great pic for FB.
During a military reunion in September, a handful of us visited Saloon #10 in Deadwood. This is the place touted as the location where Wild Bill Hickok was gunned down by the assassin Jack McCall. Actually, the real location is across the street but this place has been drawing tourists for years based on the Wild Bill legend. It's a great saloon with sawdust-covered floors and almost all the wall space devoted to photos of Wild Bill and his cronies. It's also a casino, so there are a few active slot machines and a couple of black jack tables. It's a locals saloon and the bar is well stocked. It has a band stand for live music on weekends. It gets pretty rowdy in a fun way. Upstairs is the Deadwood Social Club. This is a really good restaurant that has indoor and outdoor seating on the roof during the good weather months.
We came to dance, have some drinks and have fun. This place was packed with lots of people dancing and a live band. We had a great time here and would go back.
