Little River Vineyards and Winery is set in the county setting of Mt. Gilead. As you enter the premises, the vineyard beckons you to come further towards the beautiful white home on the hill. However, you actually turn off the main entry road to the right to go to the tasting room, which sits just beside a small body of water and more gorgeous grapevines. I think I could spend the day on the porch overlooking the water. The tasting room is small and rustic, with the personnel always so pleasant and helpful. They carry some very delicious wines, as well as cheeses that are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. You simply must stop by if you are ever in the Sandhills area of North Carolina.
