This past holiday, my daughter, granddaughter and I visited the theatre to see the annual production of Cinderella. We love going here, the theatre is small and intimate so you feel a part of the play. It is located in a neighborhood not far from Cameron Village and the parking can be a little tricky, but doable. Don't miss it!
If youbare in the area I would recommend making a stop. Cute place and when the roses are in bloom they are gorgeous. It's nice to walk around.
This is an amazing venue for Shakespeare in the park, especially when supported by Cirque du Vol. The roses are not to be missed in June.
I had never really thought about how different varieties of roses could smell! Gorgeous, peaceful, and with a splendid little outdoor ampitheater to frolic in as well! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Raleigh!
The gardens aren't huge when you compare them to Duke Gardens or Raulston Arboretum. But, when the roses are in bloom it's absolutely breathtaking in this small little hidden park in the middle of some side streets near NCSU. When I was a student here I would bring my books and study for a while when I needed a quiet place. I came back with my boyfriend recently and enjoyed the magic of the area once again.
A nice place to sit and read, play music with friends under trees, walk and smell the roses...and right near the Raleigh Little Theatre!
Went to see "Blithe Spirit" at RLT. Great, professional production. Set was very well designed, giving the feeling of the time period. Highly recommend.
Nice rose garden it would be a great place for a wedding. Lovely when the flowers are in bloom. Our most recent visit was near Christmas but you have to visit in the spring when blooms are finest. The outdoor theatre is quite nice too.
We love bringing the kids here all year round but the garden is especially beautiful in the spring. This garden makes a beautiful backdrop for family, couple or engagement photography. We've had a few friends get married as well and their ceremonies were stunning!
We took some of our engagement photos here. It is a beautiful place to hang out. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the roses and stone step amphitheater.
As a child I took modern jazz and had my recitals at the Raleigh Little Theater. After the recitals I always enjoyed going into the rose garden and now, 40 years later, I'm still visiting the gardens. It's quiet and relaxing and the perfect place to bring a picnic lunch and a good book to read. They have a very large variety of different roses as you'll see from my pictures.
We attended a play in the Goodwin Theater. It is small and unique in that the seating surrounds the stage. The acting was very good, the staff pleasant and the venue very good. We will go back.
I worked for Raleigh Little Theatre years ago and this is one of the best places in town for natural beauty. A full time gardener keeps everything up and beautiful. Locals of all ages and for a large variety of events use this as their photo backdrop. If flowers are your thing, this is a must stop for your visit to the Raleigh metro area.
Very close to NC state campus. Beautiful variety and well maintained garden. You dont have to plan anything for this. Just go there whenever you want and you will have good time.
Always enjoy meandering here..even have brought a book or journal-so peaceful! Have been lucky enough to witness photography sessions for wedding or family events.
