While looking for things to do in frozen Indiana on a Sunday my wife and I took a trip to the Cord, Duesenberg museum in Auburn, Indiana. Not knowing what to expect with the cold front hammering the mid west we just took a chance and was very pleasantly surprised not only to find the place open but well worth the trip. The museum is located in the old Cord manufacturing plant and was a lot larger than I expected. I don't know how many vehicles are located there but there was enough to keep us busy for several hours. It is such a great pleasure to be able to still view these old classics because they are BEAUTIFUL works of art.It is called Cord-Duesenberg but there are all different makes displayed here from Rolls Royce to Cadillac, cheap to luxurious. I wanted to drive them and own them but I will have to be satisfied with just looking. After seeing all these old beauties I wanted to throw rocks at the designs they have today. No CLASS.I want to go back in warm weather and take in all eight museums they have there in Auburn.Great trip and I highly recommend it especially if you like vintage cars.

If you're a car but like me then the ACD museum in Auburn is a must stop...it's in the ACTUAL factory where Suburbs,Cords and Duesenbergs where built...I stood in Mr.Cords office and looked out at the town as I'm sure he did many times...a lot of fun....

This is one well put together museum. The cars on display are some of the most beautiful cars you will ever see. Every car has it's story and history on either placards or touch screen terminals. The set up of the displays are outstanding. Everything was clean and perfectly maintained. You can tell that they have a lot of pride in their cars.Besides the Duesenbergs (like, 9 of them), Cords and Auburns, they had great examples of a very early Corvette, Thunderbird, Jags, a Merc 300SL, among other cars. The ACD racing wing is done very well, as is the history of the Indiana automobile industry, with great examples of the different manufacturers on display. There is also an artwork area and you can look inside the Auburn Boardroom and offices. There is also a pretty good gift shop at the front entrance. This auto museum is right up there with Gilmore in Hickory Corners, MI, Studebaker in South Bend and The Henry Ford in Dearborn. Just on a slightly smaller scale than a couple of them. The quality is top notch.

We found two floors of very nice cars. Amazing restored cars and historical displays. Learned about the numbers of places in Indiana that produced cars in the early 1900's.

This is first rate museum house a beautifully restored Art Deco building. The largest vollection of vintage cars that I have ever seen, each maticulasly restored. The whole story is here and very well presented. They even restored the old corporate offices. It was a wonderful experience! I will return.

I've been here many times and enjoy every trip. The cars they have are true works of art in addition to the history of the company and the beautiful building.

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana is a wonderful attraction as well as a trip back in time. The presentation of luxury on wheels is one of the nicest and best I have seem.Take an older car dealership building and display beautifully restored pieces of history and you have a winning combination. Do not go with the idea of rushing through and say you have been there, done that. Take your time and savor the history and quality of these vehicles. The $12.50 admission is well worth the price. Hope you enjoy it as much as my adult son and did!My visit was approximately 5 years ago so the date below is not accurate.

I don't know much about cars so I'm reviewing this based on my husband's thoughts: He was completely amazed, captivated, and in awe of what he saw and the history behind each vehicle. A must see. If you're within a hundred miles of Auburn, it's a must.

This was a short ride from Fort Wayne and well worth it. If you a car buff, don't think twice. If you are unsure like I was, you will not be prepared for the beauty of these luxurious machines. The volunteer staff giving tours had such an amount of knowledge, the story itself is one to hear so no spoilers here. Get out and visit this place of our history. Also good to note, they do host events here. Weddings, dances, business meetings and the like. Nice little gift store on site for your must haves.

The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana, is one of the top classic automobile museums in the United States. The storied history of these cars comes alive in this place. These were cars that literally defined luxury in the early years of the automobile. The exhibits are well displayed with informative storyboards. The cars are immaculately restored or in some cases in original factory condition. This museum is a must for car enthusiasts.

It is worth a tip to this museum if you are a car nut person.. To see all these cares in the original factory is be on ones mind.. Pierce Arrows, Auburn's and other old cars from time past.. most in factory condition. Some were made before there time.. front wheel drive.also this museum has other cars.one electric car that look like a box. they have factory drawings in he original offices.. behind this building is another museum and there is over one hundred cars and trucks.. It is well worth going to see these wonders of yesterday.

We try to visit A-C-D every second year. It is definitely a must see for classic car enthusiasts. They have re-arranged the second floor automobile display and we like it much better. The cars are not as crammed together as before. The docents are always helpful and knowledgeable. The first floor art deco showroom is simply beautiful with a grand staircase in the center. The automobiles are outstanding, each one more lovely than the next. Plan to spend at least half a day there.

As a history buff, car buff and Art lover, I thoroughly enjoyed this museum The cars were lovely, and pristine, in a beautiful setting. This is a top-notch museum and well worth the visit. In fact. all the museums in Auburn are worthwhile, and here's a little tip:The eight major museums in Auburn have banded together and created a "Museum Passport" program. Start at The Auburn Visitor's Center, or an inexpensive venue, like the Air History Museum out by the Airport. Pay their admission which is small, and you will receive a "passport", which you can use to reduced entry fees to all the other Museums. This can save you up to $20 as an individual. When I come back with my entire family I will definitely take advantage of this program!

We went to this museum for a wedding. It went very well and the team we worked with were all very professional.

A great museum to see lots of classic cars. We got a AAA discount for $10.50 / person. Many beautiful cars are on display in an Art Deco Building. According to one of the docents the “average” car is worth about $300,000 and the 15 Duesenbergs are insured for $1.5M each. The docents are friendly and have lots of background and stories about the cars and the building. The cars are hands off except for one 1916 Dodge that one may sit in and is setup for photos. Enjoyable for all but a must for “gear heads.”
