The craft beer revolution hasn't hit Evansville like it has a lot of places, but there are still a few different places to get a locally brewed beer on draft. Of those places, Carson's is hands down the best. It's really not even a contest. The brewery is tucked back in a mostly industrial setting, so it's not the most exciting part of town, but the building is very nice and there is a classy outdoor seating area. The tap room is pretty simple--a bar and a few tables--and it's worth noting that the only food options are a couple of variety of potato chips, but let's face it, most people don't visit a brewery for the food. They offer a variety of brews, and you can either purchase a flight (select "almost" any four you want) or a single beer (or more). They do allow tastings, but when we visited there wasn't really anybody there just to taste what they had to offer. Having just 2 or 3 simple appetizer-type food choices would make the experience better in our book, but overall, we still enjoyed our visit and the beer was excellent. We will be back!

Visited Carson's Brewery tap room with a guest. Carson's hours vary so it is advisable to check their website if wanting to drop by for a brew or two. They have an variety of excellent craft beers to choose from and my friend and I sampled a few. They do not serve food. You can pick up six packs, and kegs if you have a Keginator. But if you have a couple of hours to burn and want to watch World Cup and at the same time sample some brews, I would recommend giving Carson's a look-see.

Love this place tucked away in an industrial area, away from crowds. You can sit outside at a table or large bar on a little cement patio. Not a lot of places in Evansville to sit outside and just relax. There is no food menu as only small bags of snacks are available for purchase but then nobody is bugging you to buy an appetizer or meal when you just want to sip some beer. I found their selection very good with the Brown Cow being my favorite, though their Harlot Honey Blonde and Red Ale were just as good! They have some shirts, hats and underclothing (underwear that says Harlot which I thought was funny). Tamara is great and knowledgeable, and we are always disappointed when we have to leave. I highly recommend this place if you really like craft beers.

If you appreciate the craft beer scene and good, quality brews, then you'll need to swing by Carson's. They have pegged it on their RIPA which is their interpretation of Three Floyd's Alpha King. I can tell you that they are making great craft beers, and they will continue to impress beer enthusiasts. Great work, guys!

We had attempted to visit Carson's last summer while in Evansville and they were not officially open. We got lucky this visit and were able to spend quality time with the business manager Zac and the wonderful Tamra.So much fun and very knowledgeable about their brews. Good batch of beers to try and good merchandise to buy. The only drawback is they don't serve food, BUT you can bring in your own grub. We are really into microbrews, and Carson's is now one of very favorites!

I was disappointed to find that Carson's Brewery is not set-up to be an actual drinking establishment. It is a tap room/tasting room, but all you get is a taste. If you want an actual beer, you have to buy a growler or liter to-go. When you walk in, you see a really nice looking bar, but you will quickly be saddened by the fact that once you have sampled the beers there is nothing left to do except buy your beer and go.The staff is very nice and helpful.While the address is Lynch Road, you will have to keep an eye out for this place since it is behind the medical center.
