Staff was rude. Told my 21 year old sister, because her DL had expired on a day she couldn't renew, that she wasn't even allowed in casino. This is after greeter had let her in after carding her. Desk lady and security guy were extremely rude about it even after explaining that you can't renew til you are 21 in KS and that she turned 21 on a day we couldn't get renewed...Ruined her birthday evening. Walked out and never plan to return.

Last casino to visit on my trip list and was so glad I did. Golden Eagle was the first casino built in the state of Kansas 1996. I fell in love with the old Vegas style slot machines, and they paid out...woot! woot! Had alot of fun!

We stopped recently and found the slots tighter than most places. They have a small buffet area but it is actually pretty good. Some employees are friendly and helpful while other ones are not. Your average small casino.

we were there on a bus trip from oklahoma and got some free play for coming here and playing . we got there at 11 am on a saturday morning there were literally 50 people total in the casino half being the help. when we went to check in our group MAJOR problem There was one native american at the players club with the worst attitude possible. the tour operator tried to assure him he had the manifest asked to get some help for our group to no avail. one of our bus passengers went to find REAL help in the casino as this employee stated he was the ONLY one who could check people in REALLY? eventually we got checked in but it honestly took 60 minutes for a job which i;ve seen done at least 100 times that takes about 10 minutes. the rest of the staff in the casino were friendly but this one employee left a bad taste in everyones mouth, i would have him cleaning toilets as that is what his personality is suited for. They actually did have some old video poker machines which pay out in quarters which were a lot of fun to play. the 5 dollar buffet was good also, they have a big bingo hall and i did talk to one of the security guards who informed me that is how the bills get payed, would i personally go back there yes if the guy at the players club has retired or moved on to greener pastures as his bad attitude was AMAZING!

I live in Atchison ks, and used to love going to the golden eagle in horton..Vip's USED to get holiday dinners, Birthdays USED to get K-Cash and a free buffet, Their food USED to be fantastic, And there USED to be many machines to choose from..No more, The comps or monthly promotions are horrible. They cater to the busses and nothing anymore to the loyal players. Food is cold and nasty..And take out so many machines the floor is bare!.What machines they do have are pennies, and to play many of the bonuses you have to play 3 to 4.00, may as well play high stakes..I Took my 80 yr old mother up last night for her birthday,, And no longer give free buffet or anything for Birthdays. Asked about this at players club, and the employee was rude and hateful..Travel the extra 5 miles to the Sac And Fox..

We truly enjoyed a very nice fireworks show on July 2nd. The casino also provided hot dogs, chips drinks. The man driving the golf cart even gave the small kids rides around the lot while waiting for the start of the fireworks.

What? No air conditioning? Wont ever go back. We drove 50 miles for this? You've got to be kidding me. The smoke was so thick my eyes burned.

Seems like a busy casino. As casinos go it's the usual games/slots. Looked like slots were paying out due to smiles all around.

Friendly people... Great service... Lots of fun. We try to stop by as often as we can.

It is nice enough as Casinos go. I just have never thought of a Casino as my only destination. I usually thought of them as a place to hang out while I waited for the show next door to open, or a good place to eat on the way to something. There isn't anything around this one and it isn't on my way to anything.

corndogs were great. Casino was neat and staff was friendly.

ive been to the golden casino 3 times now the latest time was this afternoon i can tell u its the best place ive seen i feel like im walking into a vegas casino your treated really great the people are wonderful the food is great and you can drink all u want the machines are totally awesome "what a stress reliever" i feel great when i leave my wife and i enjoy it very much and plan on going regularly

Small but fun. Very nice staff, new & old slots, & great buffet. The bathrooms were the cleanest we have seen at a casino. For first time sign up we recieved $10.00 worth of chips (there are certain machines you can use them on, mostly the older machines). My husband played the whole time on those chips only, me not so much. Will go back.

my husband and i were at the casino 01/08/09 playing hot shot game when a member of management came up to this couple, the lady was in a wheel chair and her husband had just gotten her a limonade drink from the dream catcher. now ...not sign one was posted you could not get a drink from that dispencer, which is like the others in the casino. these people were spending their money in there casino but they made the man go pay for one lousy cup of limomade. i feel it would have been much more polite to let them know they could not use that machine and just let it go. but no , they made it a issue in front of every one. i really felt for these people. we always stopped there for a meal since our semi can be parked there but now i'm not so sure i want to any more.if you decide not to allow this at least you know what is going on in your casino nrt
