chetek hydroflites waterski show team

We used to be visitors to Chetek, now full-time residents. One of the first things we saw as visitors was the free (donations accepted) water ski show! It's an entire hour-long production centered around a theme - they compete against waterski teams from across the nation and around the world. Always great fun to watch, and the view of the lake, weather has been great every time we are there.Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. They perform twice a week during the summer - Thursdays and Sundays.

We ride our pontoon close enough to watch these talented skiers perform on Sunday nights. It is a whole different view from what you watch on shore. This is a wonderful show for families! Beautiful setting to watch such talent- a must!

Impressive show! We have watched many times from our pontoon. They really do a nice job here, and we hope you get a chance to get out to see all the wonderful tricks these water skiers can do!!!

in 2013 the team won a National championship! The theme of the show changes each year and provides a structure to insert tricks, pyramids, jumps, barefoot skiing, the works! Lots of hard work and practice by a lot of young people on the team and the adults and community that support the team. A nice way to spend a late afternoon at the lake with concession stand and seating available or bring your own lawn chair.

I first saw these shows when I was a child visiting the Chetek area and was delighted to see they are still going on more than 30 years later. Daredevil stunts, music, laughter, costumes, and skits. Just great all-around family fun. This group has deservedly won competitions and is well worth seeing.
