I gave this an excellent review because it was a wonderful place. However, It is now closed. If you want to see some of the artifacts from this site, many of the items have been acquired by the Mount Horeb Area Historical Society in downtown Mount Horeb.

24 September 2014 - Scott Winner decided to shut down Little Norway due to financial constraints. The buildings are up for sale and all the artifacts have been sold or donated. Artifacts have been donated to the Mount Horeb Area Museum, the Stoughton Norwegian Heritage Center, and the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend. Hopefully, the Stave Church will remain, but it's possible that it would be disassembled and moved elsewhere, also, depending on the new owners.

Just called since I thought this might be a nice stop after visiting Cave of the Mounds. Gentleman who answered answered with the greeting "Little Norway." Then after mentioning some of these reviews, he confirmed they are closed indefinitely.

We were looking forward to visiting this but it had a sign "Closed for the 2013 Season." The pictures of its attractions seemed most interesting since we have been to Norway and were anticipating seeing them.

Make sure you check to see if Little Norway is still operating. I think they went out of business sometime in the late summer of 2013.

It was interesting to see the houses and there is some history but my 12 and 13 yr olds were DONE after about 10 min. It is pretty and little ones would like to run around the grassy area. Maybe a good trip for the extended family.

Their website and phone message say they are closed for the 2013 Season, and are looking for sponsors to try and reopen in 2014. Call before you go! (608) 437-8211

We drove out of our way to visit little Norway, after finding it advertised in all our pamphlets. When we stopped at the Mount Horeb information center, we were informed that the owner is losing money and decided not to open for the season. It would have been nice to have some indication of that online or in the dells advertising.

It was closed for the year. No explanation as to why but it looked like it would have some interesting buildings to go through. We couldn't get very close as the road was roped off.

This was fun, the grounds were very nice, the house was beautiful, and the people working there were very nice. Women dressed in Norwegian dresses, the architecture of the buildings, all very relaxing and welcoming.

Little Norway takes the visitor back in time to a different place an time. Not only that--you learn a great deal about life in a Scandinavian settlement. Many of the artifacts you see are unique, rare, precious, and fascinating. Be sure to bring your camera. Even on a hot day, Little Norwway is cool in the valley it is tucked in. It is well worth the nominal entrance fee. The guides are great. If you like history, are Scandinavian in origin, or like antiques, this is a place to visit.

I have taken my girls here multiple times. They really enjoy it. I haven't been here since it has changed hands. Its is educational but fun at the same time.

After my family and I explored Cave of the Mounds, we decided to see if this attraction was open. The sign in front of the driveway stated that it may open 2014! So I guess they will be closed 2013. Mt Horeb however is a quaint little town that you can spend an hour touring and taking pictures of their different wood carved trolls displayed throughout the town. The kids had a blast treating it like a treasure hunt. Be sure to stop by the visitor's welcoming area in town to get a troll finder's map. It's enough to keep kids entertained for around an hour - max.

its different than I thought it would be but interesting anyways. Wouldnt plan my day around it . Stopped in with a true *Swede* and she was interested so each persons view is different.

Little Norway is closed in winter time, but we go to Mount Horeb to take a look, because we visit the Cave of the Mounds. As this small town is nearby, then we take a look there. As it's winter time, the museum and the visitor center are closed, this make us disappointed, yet, we visit some shops, there is a tool museum inside a shop, also we visit a winery and a gift shop selling North Europe things, they are fine. We also take some pictures for the Trolls. I recommend to go in summer, you can visit more places, the cold weather in winter makes you unwilling to stay outside for a longer while.
