Beautiful facility that just happens to have a pool and everything else for recreation and for fitness. I have only been to the pool for meets, but it is state of the art and well worth a visit if you come to the area. You can purchase day passes to use the whole facility.
Entry is not super cheap. However, they have very nice facilities for basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, soccer, swimming and indoor suspended track and large workout area.Great place to take the kids to burn off some energy.
more amenities than anywhere else I've ever been. multiple parks for kids. a lake for swimming/fishing/paddleboarding. they host triathlons. running paths. huge facility. day care, full time or just for working out. you need to check it out!
I am an original member of this fine facility. It is the largest recreational facility of it kind in the US. It has eight regulation basketball courts, a 1/6 mile banked running track, a water park like swimming pool, a Olympic size pool, two regulation hockey rinks and much more. They have something going on there all the time. The 100 acre lake also provides for many recreational activities but motors are not allowed. The facility is well maintained and always very clean and staff is always very friendly. Can't say enough good things about the place. I go there four to five times a week. Go to their web site (recplexonline.com) and check out all their offerings.
We didn't use any of the facilities at the RecPlex, we just walked around the lake on the trail. It was nice to get outside and get a little exercise. It looked like it would be fun in the summer - a swimming area, beach volleyball, etc. We went into the building where the ice rink was to use the restroom and it looked very nice also.
Indoor waterpark for our 5 year old, while our daughter played in her basketball tourney was a plus. Also the outdoor playground and adjacent lake with nature trails were incredible. Highly recommend this place for a visit if in the area.
This center is very nice. The location is beautiful around the small lake. For the event we were attending, parking was a bit of an issue, as was space inside the center. Staff was very pleasant. The LA Grill was overwhelmed with the event and service was very slow.
I have been a member for about a year and a half. I use the work out center as well as the swimming pool on a regular basis. If equipment breaks, it is repaired quickly, not like other fitness centers I have belonged to where it sits idle for weeks. It appears to be a great place for families with children, lot of things to do. It does get very crowded on weekends due to the number of activities going on, this is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars.
Very nice facility. Food available for purchase. The temperature was a little cold...sitting on metal bleachers doesn't help. : )
My hiking group goes to Lake Andrea to hike at least twice a season. I have not been inside the RecPlex but the entire complex looks to be first rate. The lake offers fishing and there are several sandy beaches on the West Side. Easy to reach and good parking too.
This was a great venue for our dog club. We arrived later on Saturday but enjoyed the pizza dinner in the Pavilion that was just for our club. The site is awesome! Very dog and people friendly. Plenty of parking considering there was a War Memorial event occurring at the same time.
I have been a member since the Rec Plex opened. There are too many attractions to list. There is something for everyone at the largest municipally owned fitness in th USA. Day passes are available. Jeff
This place has everything you could want in a rec center... courts, track, pool, etc. It's very clean and seems to be well-run.
I took the Combat Class and I loved it. the place is nice, clean and big with tons of activities... If the membership fees were lower I would probably become a member :-)
Great pool and facility! Cooperative staff, and clean. We like the view from the balcony of the pool and the lake.
