Love this place for smoked trout and salmon.....wish it were open more regular hours as sometimes it is open by appointment only.

I took my nine-year old daughter to fish for trout and we both had a wonderful time. My daughter has not fished very often before, and I have to admit that I have only limited fishing experience as well. All you really need to take is a cooler. They have bait and tackle ready for you. You do not need a license to fish. There are no catch limits except the amount of fish you want to pay for at the end of the day. The ponds are teeming with trout, and you are assured of fishing success. The ponds are spring-fed, so the water is cold and exceptionally clean. The staff will clean, filet and ice down your catch for a fee. You can also rent a grill from the farm and eat your catch on site. Another option…there is a restaurant in a nearby town (Table 65 in New Richmond) that will take your freshly caught trout and prepare them for you. The gentlemen working on the afternoon of our visit were exceptionally helpful and patient with my daughter.We will be returning soon and taking the entire family.
