canoe creek state park

Been frequenting this park for nearly 40 years. Excellent hiking trails and horse riding. No camping. Fishing has evolved into an all-time terrible compared to the way it used to be. Our last two trips here, we paddled all over the lake and couldn't even find sunfish to play with.Excellent place for small group picnics.There is plenty of room to put in a campground near the dam. That would be great. Not sure why that has never happened.

Very nice for families. Has music for entertainment. Enjoyed Bill Ross Simply Country Band every Saturday during the summer.

Canoe Creek is ran by the PA State Parks (DNCR) and has a lot of places to go hiking or fishing. Even boating.

The hiking at Canoe Creek State Park is easy and beautiful. Water all around and on the other side is a trail that takes you to a beaver lodge and damn. Very neat!!

Love this place. Great for kids. Wonderful walk in the woods. Pack a lunch for a peaceful afternoon. Not a lot of frills here, but an economical outing in the age of Obama, and an enjoyable time outdoors.

I took my 3 grand children here and they had so much fun swimming and playing in the sand .Food was very inexpensive ...we had a wonderful family day and cheaply
