Its ok. It's free with the park admission. I know a lot of the other states don't have great zoos, so I guess this one is average. I think it can be separate from the park as well.I live near NYC and grew up there. We have a lot of great zoos. So I am spoiled. The Bronx Zoo is spectacular and the Queens Zoo is pretty good as well. This zoo isn't even as good as the Queens Zoo.

If your expecting something like the Bronx Zoo or San Diego Zoo in Hershey you will be disappointed. However do not be off put by this as ZooAmerica is still a nice regional zoo that is great for families to enjoy while staying in Hershey. while on the small side (11 Acres) it has much to see and all of the animals are native to North America. There are two indoor exhibit areas and three more outside areas, each one represents a geographic zone on the continent. The zoo is easy to navigate as it is essentially a basic loop with some side trails. Popular exhibits are the Black Bears, Mountain Lions, Wolves and the Desert Building. There's one small food stand and gift shop, and if your visiting Hersheypark admission is included via a bridge from the park. Its a nice retreat from the busy park during the peak season.

What a delight to see a cub close up and personal. His interaction with the keepers, playing with stuffed toys and hissing at the train nearby was priceless. I can't wait to watch him grow up.

I love cats and raptors and this park has plenty. The only downside is that it is on "rolling terrain" which made walking tougher on my handicapped spouse. don't let that stop you.

It had been a few years since we visited this zoo and we are very happy to have visited again. Wonderful collection of North American animals and an attentive staff. We saw the bear hibernating (January) and animals in "winter" mode. Very different than a summer visit.

the kids love the animals at the zoo! and I love to see that they're well taken care of. we enjoy the informative plagues and the opportunity to take pictures. there's also entertainers walking around to keep you happy.

This is right next door to Hershey Park. It's included in your admission to the park during the summer months. It's a nice place to learn about nature and animals.

We were here in the winter and the day was nice so it was crowded/park was crowded since there were less rides open. The indoor attractions for animals/reptiles got crowded quickly and I was not too impressed by the Animals they had. I have been to better zoos and maybe it is nicer in the Summer when you want a break from the park but if you have one day at the Hershey Park, Id skip the zoo.

Love this zoo. Slice of all american animals. The wolves are majestic and beautiful. The eagles are up close. Owls i can go on and on about the wonderful animals at this zoo. Most of the enclosures seems to give the animals plenty of room for roaming around. As with most zoos some could be expanded but for the most part it is a lovely walk. We went on dec 26th and barely anyone was there so that was great. I look forward to going back.

ZooAmerica is not about things 'red, white & blue'. Quite literally, it simply means the animals there are indigenous to the North American continent. Since North America is not replete with jungle beasts or very much in the way of exotica, it is therefore mostly limited to a number of unassuming, smaller animal species. In that way, it could be a bit of a let-down to kids who expect lions and tigers. It really ends up being a very nice educational exhibit of the natural fauna of the United States. On the upside, you should see a bison!

We visited for 30 minutes as it was included in the Hershey Park ticket. Not a bad zoo for being included, but nothing special (not sure I would've paid extra for it).

I absolutly love ZooAmerica! There are some great animals from wolves, bears, eagles etc. My favorite part is the indoors desert animals at night exhibit! I love the layout of the zoo as well! Very openn! I went in the winter multiple times and loved it! It's gorgeous in the snow and the animals seemed to like it too! The only negative is that you hardly saw any employees and there were no snack stations or anything open in the winter months. It's like a ghost town.

I am not a zoo visitor, and have not been to many, but I really enjoyed this one. Its very small and has lots of neat animals. The buildings are historic, like Milton Hershey's original zoo. Its really a great place and is free with Hersheypark admission. When visiting Hersheypark, you need to spend some time here.

Without the zoo our trip to Hersheypark (Christmastime) would have been a disappointment. We spent 2 hours enjoying the animal exhibits. The prairie dogs, Bobcats, and snowy owls were favorites. We saw several animals not seen at the many other zoos we have visited such as a roadrunner.

This is a great walk through zoo with quite a few nice exhibits. It makes a fun rest time from the regular Hershey park experience. My kids & 4-H kids really enjoyed checking out all of the interesting animals and learned a lot from the educational exhibits and markers. It isn't the largest zoo around but is probably one of the more interactive ones. It was especially fun to search visually for some of the animals in the exhibits (being the one to spot the animal first is always exciting).
