Nice place to walk and see the downtown across the river and the new uptown development. Along the walk ways connected to the Pier there are stops for reading historical info about Bay City, and on low water days you can catch a glimpse of the remains of an old abandoned ship from the shipbuilder days

Walked alone the river with Smalls and had a wonderful time together. Moon was up and the breeze was delightful. Along the way you can learn a bit of Bay City's history, as well.

The Riverwalk is an exceptional place to walk or ride. It parallels the Saginaw River in areas that were once shipbuilding firms and settlements. It runs through the heart of Bay City and connects with the Rail Trail. Don't miss this area when visiting Bay City. Really cool.

This is a great place to unwind. Walking along watching the boats go by, the draw bridge opening and closing. Then walking out out on the pier over the water is always a great time.

While in Bay City, we decided to take a walk on the pier. Nice, scenery. Their was a gazebo at the end of the pier. We were fortunate to run into a local gentleman who gave us a little history about the area.

We walked through Bigelow Park on the raised boardwalk, which is over the Saginaw River, to reach the Pier. Very nice walk, with plenty of benches. Lighting. You will see wildlife-ducks, geese, fish, birds, squirrels. The pier is a great fishing spot, or a simple walk to get out over the water to watch the boat traffic. Very well done!

The view here is second to none. If you like to stay fit and not be trapped in a gym with 100 other sweaty musscle men this is the place for you. Very relaxing atmoshpire on the river with many places to stop and enjoy the view, bench side or over the railing. Generally 8/10 for cleanliness! Make sure to stop at Bouy 18 for an ice cream cone or a round of put-put! Hooters is also is a great pitstop with Riverfront seating.

What a nice walk to share with family or friends in spring, summer, or fall. You can power walk or stroll. You will see many ducks some with families depending upon the time of the year. Perhaps you will pack a picnic to share along the way. It's a nice place to spend some quiet time.

We host a B and B in Bay City, MI and always recommend the Riverwalk and Pier to our guests. They have never been disappointed. Bay City has done an excellent job making good use of our river front property. Parks on both sides of the river spread out for many blocks giving the public the chance for enjoyment. Also concerts and boat cruises can be enjoyed as well as private boating and good restaurants at dock sides.

If you like history and water, this gave you a good insite of what it was like in the late 1800s. Seeing the remnants of the old ships gave a realistic site of where you're standing.

The whole Riverwalk is a great place to walk. You can walk along the river and through the park, and view ducks, birds, flowers and the sunken outlines of ships. There are many benches to stop and sit or picnic. The pier juts out into the Saginaw River and it is very picturesque.

There is something that draws many of us to water. Bay CIty straddles the water of the Saginaw River. For years the banks of the river were home to factories & docks & not user friendly to the majority of the residents. The folks in Bay City have rectified that & their waterfront has become a great place to gather. Whether it be for the Tall Ships in the summer when the parks & piers are LOADED with everything you could imagine from food, to stuff to people. And when the party's over, it is a wonderful place to walk and watch the waters of the river flow silently toward the bay. A great way to spend a warm fall day!

This is a great place to go with kids and pets or for a leisurely walk. There is a large fun parkBut sometimes over run with teenagers.

Fun for people watching and the boats....then walk to the downtown or Hooters for lunch or dinner. Take a bag lunch ..and sit on the benches provided all along the walk way. very nice area

If your travels take you to Bay City you may want to consider a stroll along Riverwalk Pier. It's located on the west side of the Saginaw River off Vets Memorial Park. You can see the remains of former wooden ships if the water is shallow enough in the river. Individuals and groups have also donated time to neatly landscape the area and plant flowers. You can even rest a bit on benches and swings overlooking the river and downtown Bay City.
