haberman fabrics

My friend and I went in today to look at fabric, etc. to get ideas on putting together a custom sash for my wedding dress. We were helped by Lucky who was able to answer all of our questions, had no problem pulling out certain item selections for us to see closer and just was a great help. Will be back in to purchase. after a trip to Haberman Fabrics. Simply the most beautiful and high quality fabrics on earth! After discovering Haberman, your opinion of department store clothing will plummet. As you realize the clothing can actually fit you and express your own image, you find you don't need to be the victim of whatever the retailers are pushing at the current moment. Their home dec fabrics will make your house sing as well. They have classes and fabulous samples made up to stimulate your imagination.

I have visited many times but most recently went in to get some trim for my mother of the bride dress. They had an unbelievable selection of beautiful trims! They were, understandably, in a case that needed to be unlocked by a staff member. Unfortunately, they are understaffed. The store was not busy by any stretch of the imagination, and it took almost 15 minutes for someone to come over to help after being paged numerous times. She was very apologetic for the delay because of the lack of staff. She was extremely knowledgable in helping me pick out the perfect trim. Looking around after making my selection, they had wonderful selection of unusual buttons, home dec fabrics and trim and hight quality fabrics for garment and bridal use. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are short staffed.

So many sewing stores today cater to quilters. If you sew clothing or home decor, this is the store for you. There is a large section with material for weddings and special occasions. There is a large section for home decor. Then there is apparel fabric including silk, wool, linen, knits, high quality shirting fabric, lace, etc... They have lots of buttons, trim and thread as well. They have mainstream patterns as well as lesser known patterns.They no longer service or sell Berninas from within the shop.They have sewing classes.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.One staff member is superb at alterations.

This is the Shanghai La of fabric stores. I took a pillow making class here. One of the most fun things to do. They were excellent teachers and the store was heavenly to shop in.

Staff is courteous and knowledgable. Often times I find the items there that are not available anywhere else, even on line. The minute I walk in the creative ideas begin to flow. Even the upholstery section stimulates all kinds of divergent thinking. I have used some of those fabrics for holiday doll making.
