wolf lake state fish hatchery

We went here with our son in the Fall of 2014. It is a great place for children to learn about fish and the operation of the hatchery. In addition they love feeding the fish located just outside of the welcome center. The highlight for me though are all of the trails that go by the various ponds at the hatchery and provide for awesome fall views.

This place was very neat if you're interested in the outdoors and are into our lakes streams and rivers in Michigan. The kids loved it I wish I check the schedule ahead of time and had been here for one of the tours or for the open fishing check the website

We have been to several fish hatcheries, but this is the best one. We arrived just in time for a guided tour of the facility which was very educational. I highly recommend this place for a visit.

While this is a great place for kids to go and see the hatchlings and how fish grow it is also a great resource for lake residents who have questions about what may be affecting their lake. Years ago we used the resource to identify eurasion milfoil which is a very dangerous weed.

What a fun family place to visit, been in Kalamazoo for 20 years and never knew about this hidden treasure

Learned stuff. Kids enjoyed. Lots of fish. Out a ways out of town, but on the way to Lake Michigan. West of Kalamazoo.

Wonderful place for the entire family. The kids will love the exhibits and feeding the fish. Adults will enjoy talking with the knowlegeable staff and the beautiful outdoor ambiance.

This is a educational and enteraining place to visit. We take all out of town visitors here as it is interesting to visit, you can visit for free, you can feed the fish and see lots of fish in the pond. The visitors center has a movie, and exhibits and special events throughout the summer. You can make this a quick 30 minute trip or a couple hour event if you choose to take in some of the walking trails around the facility.

If you are in the area this is a really cool place to visit. It is not a destination location however is really done up nice.
