Wonderful location in small downtown area. Enjoyed the updated and urban looking winery with great service and small town atmosphere. The owners are friendly and have a wonderful tasting wine.
nice location in Downtown Macon, comfortable setting, friendly knowledgeable staff..good selection of wines for tasting and buying.
I went with a group of friends and we had a great time. The wine was terrific, the people were friendly, and the seating and lighting was great for mood setting.
Excellent wine and fun atmosphere. Try the Norton and Chamborcin for reds and the White Cawtaba for a sweet white. The staff is great and they make the wine right there.
Check out their Cave Hollow West Winery, newly opened 3 miles south of Hannibal, Missouri. I especially like the "Innocent Broad" wine.
Chris and Jen West have done a great job refinishing a historic building in the downtown district of Macon, Missouri. They clearly have helped re-energize the downtown district. The wine is great and the service is wonderful. Chris and Jen make you feel at home and clearly appreciate the business. Occasionally on weekends they have live music. Overall a fun, classy and distinctive place.
Hi Erica, thanks for taking the time to review us. Please let me know the date/time you visited, description of the staff member, and what specifically was disappointing about the service/staff. We want to make this right and fix any issues. Thanks again!
West Winery is a great local winery and the place never fails to deliever good times, good music, and good wine. The owner does a great job at booking good local muscians and the music has been excellent. The owner bottles his own red and white wines and has a good selection. Recently took four bottles of his sweet red to Florida for vacation this summer. One recommendation, get their early to get a good seat. The venue is small and if the music is good, it will be packed. Plenty of room in the back and out front in the summer but best seating for music is right next to the band and there is limited seating here and it fills up fast. Prices are very reasonable and I don't think you can have any more fun for less money anywhere. The owner is great and he gets out and mingles with the crowd and is friendly and entertaining. Can't go wrong hitting the West Winery on a Friday or Saturday night!
A wonderful find in the downtown area of Macon, MO. The decor has a "jazzy" feel that features comfortable seating and exposed brick walls. Just right for sipping some of their fabulous wine. There are several great wine selections that get better every year. We especially like all their Norton varieties was impressed with the white Catawba! Definitely will visit often.
Great ambiance. The staff is great about letting you sample the wine until you find one you like. The selection changes, so the wine you love might not be available at your next visit. Limited beer selection for the non-wine drinkers. Live music sometimes. It's a very special, cool place to hang out with your friends, family, or sweetie.
Chris West at West Winery prefers quality over quantity. His wines are spectacular. A must visit Missouri winery!
What a fun place to relax, talk with friends & enjoy a glass or two of local Missouri wine! Live music nights are the best. The musicians are very entertaining and create a funky environment. There may be a few snacks to purchase but unless there's a food vendor onsite for the evening, you'll want to bring your own fruit & cheese plate. The entrepreneurs are super individuals! Be sure to start up a conversation with Chris or his wife, Jen.
My sister and I enjoyed visiting with owners Chris and Jennifer. It was very enjoyable getting to sample their wines. Our favorite was the Duck Creek Sweet Red...Outstanding!!!
A local favorite, West Winery features live music, great atmosphere and wine, and the state's tallest bathroom. Good times!
Loved hearing the history of the bldg from the owners, beautiful stained glass in the winery! Wine is great, had live music. Well worth a trip to Macon.
