Choice pricing for a nice room after a day visiting attractions and a concert in the evening. Room was very clean but the food was boring.
I'm not a big Casino expert. Lots of slots .01, .25 and $1. Only roulette is electronic. Poker was going strong while I was there as was about half the Blackjack and Craps. Not bad for a Tuesday night late. It was clean. Bartender at back bar was fine - nothing special but kept my drink refreshed! Wait staff in the slots areas leaves a lot to be desired. I would come back. I had fun and at the end of the day that's what matters. I wish the restaurants had been open an hour later. I got in late and did not have much to choose from.
Ok for entertainment but don't plan on winning here. We had fun and I would visit this casino again.
For a property of this size, the casino in terms of table games is much smaller than you would expect. Reasonable table minimums, $5 tables and more of course, but in the mornings until even early/mid afternoon, very few table games open. beers and alcoholic drinks at the tables cost $4-$5 as opposed to complimentary for a player but i understand that is missouri state law, not casino policy.
We went up on a weeknight to spend the night for a getaway. The casino is getting very run down, carpet , walls, bathrooms. Very short on staff and service. The hotel room was no better, a hole in the wall had a strip of wallpaper glued on to cover it, the carpet was filthy. I was disappointed, I hate to see this happen, it's not like they are not making money, everyone in the Casino was down because no one was winning at any machine. Hope they bring it back up. We'll go back due to the fact they have a wonderful Steakhouse called 37, see review on that.
The hotel room we had was like a scaled down version of the Argosy rooms. Very nice! I truly love the way everyone is trained to acknowledge you at this location. From the housekeeping personnel to the employees walking down the corridors, they all have a cheery smile and hello for you. It really does put you in a good frame of mind when you are there. I totally understand why this is done, and I must say it works. The eating establishments were good also. Easy to get to, and one of the best Harrahs I have stayed in. It is not as fancy as Rincon, but the people there make up for it. Kudo to them
This was the second time we've been to Harrah's Casino. The first was four years ago. We came back for a 2 night stay and I really felt the service had gone down hill in the casino area. The overall customer service in the casino area was what bothered me the most. Whether it was evening or mid-day, it would be 60-90 minutes before you'd see a waitress. I believe this is because they are understaffed. Our blackjack dealer also was very unfriendly and the pit-boss was staring down one of the women at our table as if she was the devil herself. Very uncomfortable. Comparing this to other experiences I've had, I'd much rather go somewhere else.
I have received numerous offers from this hotel/casino offering hotel rooms for $39 per night. I have called the same day I received the offer and every time they say it is not available. I gamble enough to be at Platinum level. My wife also plays extensively. It is just a waste of time trying to get an offer from them in NKC. When I go to one of Harrahs hotels in Vegas, they comp my hotel room. I recently stayed at the NKC Harrahs for 5 nites and payed $100 per night - no comps what so ever. This is the last time I will stay at this RIP-OFF Hotel.
Harrah's was a bit too clustered for me. The slot machine areas were too close for comfort, almost had a panic attack. Played for a few hours, left with a profit. Will visit again, but won't stay long as uncomfortable in such close surroundings. The staff were nice, but many of the guests were rude. This appears to be an older Harrah's based on the interior decor.
This place is so ghetto, beware of all the thieves and the unresponsive security. They have cameras but made little to no effort to recover my belongings that were stolen. Do yourself a favor and lose your money somewhere else, because at this place the casino and the patrons will rob you blind. So sad, never returning!
Standard harrahs casino with the usual casino games.good air exchange system.tried the slots and the tables.
rooms are exceptional. I have eaten at both the buffet and sports bar, both are excellent but I tend to gravitate toward the sports bar! I'd like to see a swimming pool but can understand why they don't have one! This is the friendlist casino; that I've ever been to and take my word, I've been to hundreds of them!
I'll start with the "don't like". I do not like the new policy of no comps if the player has player points. This is the only Harrah's that I know of with that policy. So in other words I could spend all my player points to buy things in the gift shop and THEN they would comp food? Makes no sense. What I always find enjoyable is the friendly atmosphere and the exceptional hospitality extended by the entire staff. The casino is exciting and fun. They have replaced some of the machines with more table games and have a poker room too. The hotel is 20 years old now but there have been some updates and rooms are always attractive, clean and comfortable.
Fairly small with quite a few fairly old slot machines. There were a couple of newer slots and some newer progressive video poker machines but, for the most part nothing stands out.
I was never a CET lover until I visited Harrah's in Kansas City North a couple months ago.I have been to HUNDREDS of casinos across the country, but have NEVER been in a casino with a staff as friendly as this one!.Every member of the staff from the floor sweepers to the top brass welcomes you and wishes you good luck. It has become my all time favorite casino/resort and now visit it as often as I can.If any of you are ever in the area, you should stop by and check it out, you will love the way they treat you! Plus they are VERY generous with their comps.
