our lady of the rivers shrine

This one is a bit of a drive from nearby Saint Charles, but its well worth it. If you're looking to get away for a bit, and not deal with a crowded town, this is a great place to go. A solemn area of nice peaceful reflection, plus a coo walking path, and a great monument with an interesting story to tell about the rivers is here. Definitely worth a stop, or a side trip for an hour or so.
