It has been over 20 years since I had been to a drive in, so when we visited nearby Tishomingo State Park we had to go to the drive in. We visited in early July. The Drive-In has one screen and is open on Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights. Call ahead to make sure they are open and to find out what is playing.We had a double feature the night we visited, a family film followed by an action film. The Drive-In uses a low power FM transmitter to broadcast the sound which is better than the old speakers. Be sure not to run down your car battery listening to the sound!The concession building was not air conditioned but the staff was very efficient and sold popcorn, pickles, nachos, and hot dogs. Prices were much less than a traditional theater.One bonus- the Drive-In does not charge for small children, so you can bring the whole family.
