This library has it all. Great staff, wonderful for every age level. The book selection and programs are filled with new and different events every month. I love spending time here.

I love our Essex Library of which I am a member. The staff are so helpful and very pleasant to deal with. It's a wonderful place to browse and if a book is not on the shelf, the staff will order it and send an email notifying when it's ready for pick up. Great service! The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the library is closed on Sundays which I think is a big negative. I understand its budget constraints (much of its funding is private, not public/government funded) - nevertheless I think the Board of Trustees should reconsider. The library could - and should be - a wonderful weekend sanctuary for families with children, especially on a rainy day. Please open on Sunday!

So much goes on at this library I have to pick and choose and miss some attractive programs because of time. I belong to library book clubs, watch opera movies, listen to authors, attend debates, play bridge and on and on. One really handy service is the book-a-librarian which anyone can do who needs tech help with any of their devices. Love this library and love the friendly staff, especially The children's librarians. They are very active with events, readings, crafts etc. A perfect place for a rainy day with the kids or on a sunny one, stop in, grab a book and head out to the park across the street.

Very spacious, great service, good programs, excellent librarians and great technology. My children and I enjoy coming to this library at least three times a week and they have their book sales every May which is a real deal.
