We visit Sunset Meadow often and love the winery and the Motel family and staff. Wonderful selection of great wines and a beautiful place to visit and relax in the Litchfield hills of Connecticut.

We stopped at the Sunset Meadow Vineyard on our fall foliage drive through Connecticut. It was on a beautiful property and we enjoyed tasting the wines and browsing through the shop. We purchased a few bottles and enjoyed them at home.

Dear George, I just saw your review posted and I am so terribly sorry you had such a bad experience at Sunset Meadow Vineyards. We pride ourselves our hospitality and on farming and growing our own grapes to give you true CT wines with no infusions or additives or gimmicks. We do not bring in California wines. I apologize for the poor service you received. Every customer is important to us and should be treated as such. Please accept my apology and we would love to see you back in the tasting room. I would love the opportunity to go through our wines with you per your tasting requirements and see if we can find something for you. Best, Judy

As we made our way through the CT Winery Trail, this winery stood out. Not only do they make wines from their own grapes (you'd be surprised how many in CT don't), but the tasting room, bar none, was the nicest. Beautiful bars, flooring, seating. Outside, a jazz duo was playing to those who brought food to enjoy with glasses or bottles from Sunset Meadows. Large amount of staff there to accomodate by far the largest group of "tasters" we ran across. Between the two of us we were able to taste most of their wines, purchase a Cayuga white. Staff was very knowledgable, and I believe we had one of the owners assisting us as well. We are no experts in wine, and they were patient and courtous to us. Home run. We will return, and return with friends.

Spectacular views paired with exquisite wines. They produce their own grapes and are knowledgeble but humble vinters. Also, they provide a nice patio where you can bring your own Hors D' Oeuvres and impress you date!

The winery was one of the busiest wineries I have been to. I was greated very soon after walking through the door . Did a tasting, found the wine to be top notch. This will be a stop for me when I'm in from CA. Plan to tell my associates it is one of their must stops.
