This orchard has been in the family for 10 generations! Even though it's the end of the apple picking season, the farm stand has apples, varieties of squash, pumpkins, gourds and wonderful treats available in their small shop on the premises. Just the drive there was beautiful and full of the fall colors. And yes, the apple cider donuts were the best I have ever had! Not to be missed.

we've been coming here for years.....pick your own apples or get them at the stand. Cider donuts(homemade) add to the "allure". Weekends are busy and it's great to see a local farm doing well.Occassionally farm animals are brought in for the kids. Great views of the foothills of the Berkshires....great way to spend an hour or 4. Picknic table available for lunch or fresh apple pie!!

Pick-your-own apples and pears is available seasonally. There is also a substantial farm stand with lots of yummy local goods (honey, pies, cider, etc.). The views are stunning, and there is often a pizza truck there on the weekends. Otherwise, it is very close to both Washington Depot, Marbledale, and New Preston, where there are several nice places to go for dining.

Beautiful views of the hills from this historic spot. Wonderful apple picking experience. The resh cider apple donuts are to die for (and I'm not a donut fan). Nice people, well run pick your own apple farm and farm shop.. You won't be disappointed.,

Pick your apples is a must in New England in the fall and Averill is a wonderful place to do it. It big, the property is beautiful. The apples are always delicious and there are so many varieties to choose from. Their apple cider donuts are to die for.

Pick your own apples in a beautiful hilltop setting; many varietiers are available from September through Halloween. Tree-ripe pears are also delicious from Labor Day on. A visit to the country store is a must; home-made cider and cider doughnuts are the choice of most customers. Jams and jellies are also made right there and there is a plethora of other gift items..

The trees were heavy with apples and easy to pick or easier yet just get a wide assortment of apples in the market. Great autum decorations for a good value... be sure to try the apple cider donuts!

Great spot for apple picking. We used to take our kids every year when they were younger and boy did they have a good time! The place is huge and you pretty much have the run of it. Go and enjoy.

A nice selection of apples - varieties you don't see everywhere. Such as Greening, which I love to use in my pies.Cute little orchard store with yes, apple cider donuts, local maple syrup, gifts and much more.A little out of the way, but worth the trip!

For a New Yorker on a fall foliage run, or local families who like to pick their own apples in a peaceful, beautiful environment, Averill Farm is the place to go. Wonderful views. Nice ride in the countryside to get there. Rows and rows of apple trees and many different varieties.
