waterford beach park

Lovely, uncrowded beach with clear water and soft sand, around the corner from busy Ocean Beach park. Inlets for children to crab and snack truck. Hefty fee for non residents though.

Nice beach and a great place to have a cookout. If you want to enjoy the beach or have a cookout this is the place and enjoy the great views.

This Gem of a town beach is secluded and very well kept up. Always great to be able to get away here.

A little pricy for visitors who don't live in Waterford, Ct. but well worth it!! Surrounded by sand dunes this is a beautiful hometown Beach in Waterford. Swim, fish, picnic or just lay on the beach and relax!

It was raining the day before so attractions were closed. Looked like a great family place. Could not find place to wash feet or body after swimming.

Nice sand, clean water, lifeguards, mellow crowd. Lovely day with the kids swimming. Waves are small, so there wasn't any jumping waves or boogy boarding, but great for swimming and building sand castles. My 7 year old son loved it, my 11 year old son would have preferred bigger waves...

Small, sheltered beach, not big. Great views of New London Harbor and Long Island Sound. No big waves here, which is great for the kids. You have to be a Waterford resident (or be with one) to get in. No concessions.

This was my first time at this beach after a friend told me about it. It was great, small and low key. No lifeguards blowing whistles every minute. The kids were able to enjoy themselves and I was comfortable having them in the water. The waves were not big so it wouldn't be good for boggy boarding or anything that requires waves. The sand wasn't rocky and didn't hurt your feet. Parking was good, not too much of a walk to get to the beach.There was an ice cream truck along the walk way which was good and had reasonable prices. I do wish there were more food vendors or other types of vendors there.The bathrooms were clean along the walk way to the beach. The porter potty in the parking lot were disgusting!!!! The showers were nice, the water pressure was good coming out of them. Overall the beach was good, clean and I would definitely come back to this beach again.
