old forge sporting clays

We have been there twice and was spoken down to and they always seemed angry that we showed up. We tried to call to ask a question and got rudely hung up on. We will not be going back anymore even though that is the only sporting clays range around within 100 miles of us.

I've been shooting sporting clays on and off at Old Forge ever since Gerry Felix first opened the facility 20 years ago. It is very well run and I've always enjoyed the experience. I lowered my rating by one point because they shut down the original course located behind the clubhouse some years ago. The original course was far more creative and better designed than the current course. The current layout consists mostly of repetitive crossing patterns with little originality. But I still enjoy the fun and challenge of breaking the flying clays.

Rental guns are very nice and priced good. Ammo is fairly cheap as well. Have shot here four times in the past and will be retruning.

Really nice people make shooters feel at home at a pro level course. Targets can be friendly to darn near impossible. Trappers or pull your own. Fun shoots and registered shoots. Lots of charity shoots. Good fellas welcome.
