This little gem, is in the middle of the best motorcycle riding in Texas. They have a a nice collection of motorcycles from the past.

Many motorcycles to see from different era's. Poster's adorned the walls of past advertisements and racing events gone by. Souvenirs to buy and a cafe if you are hungry.

I traveled from Bandera TX for a day trip. It's a great little place with big motorcycle collection. My favorite part was the cafe with delicious chicken salad sandwiches and meat pies. Great friendly people running the place. They took time to talk to everyone who came through the door. Down side is there is no phone service for miles but if you are on vacation and not in a hurry its totally worth it.

I love the history on display! The owner was welcoming, and the admission fee was well worth it! I had no idea there was so much fascinating history to be had with motorcycles, and this is the place to go to see it first hand!

Love this little museum! It is a beautiful drive there as well! Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country this museum has all you ever need to know about motorcycles. Old and new it was such a fun experience!

We stopped for lunch. A nice meal we had. We declared that dining was our purpose, so the admission was waived. I looked ever the motorcycles anyway, as the place is a single large open space. Mostly British machines with some Indians. Triumph, Norton, BSA.

Nice collection of mostly European bikes. I think the oldest bike I saw was a 1916 Royal Enffield with a sidecar. $5 to get in which is not a bad deal. They do have a few old Harleys and Indians as well. Its worth stopping in and checking out and the roads to get their are even better.

If you want to see some old Nortons, BSAs, Ducatis, and others, this is the place. I think the newest motorcycle I saw was a 1976 Norton 750. And for lunch, the Aussie Meat Pies are just awesome. I heard that the burgers are great as well, but I didn't try one as I was there for the meat pies! Get them quickly though as the owners said that they were closing the cafe portion in November 2013. They MAY have somebody taking over and expanding the menu, but it wasn't a given yet so to be safe, get out there this summer!

I asked the owner, "How did you come into starting a museum" and he said "I bought a bike." The Lone Star Motorcycle Museum is a labor of love hidden among the great Texas Hill Country Roads. BSA's, Nortons, Harley, Vincents, Triumphs, Indians, the list goes on and on, some of the best original and restored bikes in America. A person could spend hours looking at the wide array of bikes but would be missing what's offered in the Lone Star Museum's Ace Café. I especially enjoy the burger with the jalepeno bun. Don't miss a chance to spend some time with the Museum's owner, Allen. His hands did all the restorations and its his labor of love "I bought a bike." A rider's paradise.

We went in to check out the place. The old man that owns the place, cut us off at the front and went over the "price list". It costs $5 per person to look at the bikes. His wife runs a GREAT grill in the back. The food was very good. We had the apple pie and it was fantastic but buying food still doesn't get you a ticket to look at the bikes. I felt uncomfortable, like the old guy was watching and waiting for me to glance in the direction of the bikes and run over and strong arm me into a fee.Truth: I would have gladly followed a recommended "donation" to view the bikes but I didn't appreciate the collection practices. If it had been in a different room from the grill then it might work better.PS. The bikes looked very interesting. If we had more time to browse, I would liked to have seen them up close.

Staff are very nice, the bikes are right up close and personal, and the food was enjoyable as well.

If you like motorcycles you need to stop and see this place! Plan on making it a meal stop because the food is good. Great selection of bikes, foreign and domestic. Friendly owner greets you at the door. Check website or call as hours are limited to weekends and seasonal. Try the Antler Cabins in Bandera... we had a great time. Only 2 cabins, extra clean and quiet, close to Main Street. Its a winner!
