Fun Saturday morning! Food, music, items for sale at good prices. If you are in Waco on a Saturday morning, you have to go. Seems like many people do, but there is a lot of parking, so don't worry. You will definitely find something.

The farmer's market is downtown, along the Brazos River under the shade of big old Oak trees, so the setting is fantastic. There are usually plenty of fresh vegetables, meats, eggs, artisan foods, coffees, honey, pecans, oils, and handmade goods. There is always one musician or group playing which adds to the atmosphere. It is like a street festival every Saturday morning. We like to go and eat breakfast while we are there, and stock up on our vegetables and eggs while soaking up the good vibes. A couple of things to remember is that it ends at 1:00 pm, and not as many venders show up when the weather is bad.

My husband and I decided to check this out one Saturday, and we were so impressed! There are so many local vendors, we had no idea. There was a little bit of everything; meats, cheeses, wines, vegetable, teas, plants, jams, bread baked fresh on site. As well as live music and demonstrations. Parking was convenient, and people were friendly. We sampled the best homemade soft pretzels, and gluten free tamales. It's the perfect way to spend a Saturday. Just remember to have cash, you can also get tokens, but I'm not quite sure how that works. This is the best way to support local growers/producers and know exactly where your food is coming from.

Stopped in on a beautiful Saturday morning and can't wait to go back. There was live music played at just the right volume, delicious coffee and fantastic breakfast burritos, what more can you ask for? The Farmer's Market has booths that include: local honey, local produce, VERY fresh eggs and some delicious food. All of the vendors were extremely nice and not aggressive at all. Customers were encouraged to taste whatever was available. Many college students were there shopping, having breakfast and sitting by the river admiring the new stadium that is being built in town. If you find yourself in Waco, visit the market, you will not be disappointed.

Overrated place. Very few stalls selling farm produce. Only 2 that I saw actually sold vegetables.Getting a coffee from the small stall that appeared to run by 3 guys who were more interested with their iPad and iPhone took an eternity. The lady who plays the bagpipes needs to play some more livelier tunes.

The Farmer's Market is a very unique place. This trip I saw robotic machines sending frisbees through the air, live music, petting zoo, artist designs with fair trade beads, fresh ground coffees, fresh crepes, Indian food, organic meat and produce, and wines and cheeses. Bring your dog along and make an afternoon out of it.

Almost every Saturday, you will find me here buying fruits and veggies for the week as well as various natural cosmetic products (lotion, lip balm, etc.), chaga tea, wheat grass juice, cheese, jellies, coffee, and more. Vendors are very accommodating when I ask for 1/2 a basket or I want 1 of something. Food is fresh and beautiful. Most of it is organic which is my preference.Once I buy my food, then I enjoy breakfast and try different items - crepes, burritos, smoothies, rolls, tamales, Vietnamese food, mango lassis, etc. Then, I take the food to a picnic table if one is available and look at the water as I eat. People are casual; there are little kids and dogs, and all are friendly and pleasant. The ambiance is wonderful. Try it!

Something free to do downtown. Live music, and usually a specialty event. Offer lots of options of fresh vegetables and fruit. Also meat, cheeses , and breads. Lots of food options, crepes are good. Also take a walk by the river
