Played this course on the 22nd December and found it to be in great condition, greens putted really well, and good value at around $35 incl cart, welcoming staff in shop and restaurant, will play again

This well groomed property was bought by the City of Allen. The investment is paying off for the local golfers. A challenging 18 hole course is complimented with a really nice to play 9 hole course as well as a 6 hole course for beginners or less skilled players. The staff all seem to enjoy their jobs and it shows in every contact. The grill is not fine dining but it hits the mark for those looking for a relaxed 19th hole.It is tough to find better value then given at Watters Creek

This course is fairly good yet some what challenging. Unfortunately the management of this course is more interested in money than they are bringing in customers and providing customer satisfied. There are numerous courses in this area that are equally as good if not better for much less money. Unfortunately we won't be back anytime soon.

Challenging, well maintained and nicely laid out course. Played 2 days in row and would have played a 3rd. Super practice facility and very accommodating staff.

I despised that course. It was personal; I just couldn't do well. So I was happy when they blew it up to redo it. I finally played here, and enjoyed it. Many of the holes are the same, but setup a little differently. I ended up with a 43 on the front...and then came back to my more normal shooting on the back. I think it is a good value for the money, and you should try it. Better courses in the area, but you have to shake it up once in a while.

Bottom line. The sand traps are horrible. Better than the hard pan that they used to be but now full of sand that is far too heavy. Unfortunately I spent more tone in then then I normally would and ask I can say is that the experience ruined my round. Since the likely reason for that is erosion of sugar powder sand, they should just full then in and resort to grad bunkers

The redo of this course was great, and provides a real test of your golf, regardless of the tees you play. I think it's a bit pricey for seniors, but overall, not bad.

Don't expect an exact tee time; just approximate. I've played this course 6 times the past year. Just finished today. Two of our group arrived on the #1 tee 3 minutes early before our tee time (our third had been there for almost 10 minutes) and they gave it away to a twosome. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED (only before, they allowed 2 foursomes without tee times to go in front of us). We waited on EVERY shot and played in about 5 hours on a Tuesday. Obviously, management is more concerned with the $$ than the enjoyment of the golfers. I won't be back for a while; if ever. The course is medium to high difficulty, usually in pretty good shape. Cross your fingers if you are hoping to play in 4 hours; it's not likely to happen.

Played this fall and it was fun, but some holes are beyond challenging. Friend lives on the course and collects golf balls in both back and front yards! And this after the redesign so homeowners could remove nets. NOT possible. Staff is friendly, personable, and I think for some this is a great course. It's long, # six is diabolical! Overall it's friendly and more open than many residential courses. Worth a try!

great new layout will challenge your game...best public course in the area...conveniently locatated just off central expressway.

We have a young golfer in our family and the newly opened Futures Course is an amazing place for her to hone her skills. We are anxously awaiting the new 9 hole course as well. The staff at Watters Creek is very friendly and helpful as well. The driving range and Futures Course is lit until 11pm, which makes there no excuses for not being able to go practice! Very well maintained facilities and groomed courses.

One of my favorite courses in the area!! The grounds are immaculate, well kept hazards, friendly staff....terrific place for my favorite past time!!!

With so many amazing, and inexpensive golf choices in this town, this one is a weak, has-been. Construction materials everywhere, course staff not well educated about proper golf course maintenance. Overpriced and rounds take extraordinarily long time.

Fun golf course! I hit almost every club in my bag, well manicured and open so you can find your ball. However, try to keep it in the short stuff. Even the first cut can be a bit hairy to hit out of.Not too much to gripe about in terms of my round. It's "cart path only" which is a bit of a pain. Especially if you're out with people missing on opposite sides of the fairway. Lucky for my group, we all tended to miss in the same spot. :-)I do, however, have one huge issue with this course, and it should be of particular interest to travelers, and it's with the rental clubs. I didn't want to spend a fortune to ship my clubs, and nobody that I know in the area is the same hand as me, so I played with the facility's clubs. I've been to other courses in the Allen-area and they've all provided me with adequate rentals. But what this place gave me was a set of Paragon's. I'd never heard of that company before.... After I hit the first ball I knew why. It felt as if I was hitting with wooden-headed clubs. And management had the audacity to charge me a $30 rental fee for these things. I can go on overstock.com right now and buy a brand new, entire 14-club set (I only had the woods/hybrids/3-9, the other clubs were a mishmash of 15-20 year-old clubs) for $220. Overall, this is a fun course, lots of room to miss (but you'll pay for it if you do). However, if you're flying in to Allen, and you don't want to spend the cash to ship your clubs, or you can't borrow some, I'd suggest never, ever play here. Ever.

Enjoyed the course, much improved since renovation. Can't go back until the six hour rounds stop on the weekends. Cart path only and 8 minutes between tee times gets you backed up. Waited on almost every shot.
