Very nice course, especially for December. Greens were not over-seeded so they were very fast! Lots of elevation changes and beautiful views.
The course is much better aesthetically after you start play. Driveup clup and course appeal are not representative of the over all topography. I like it and it is probably the best course distance wise from New Braunfels.
The course is challenging, but it is not impossible. Playing here will sharpen your focus and your game. It is always clean, professional, and beautiful.
Played here in August and it was even better than what my father-in-law told me it would be. The layout was outstanding and the greens were beyond great. I loved the elevation changes and the challenges this course brought. The staff was great and the wildlife was awesome too. Will definately try and come back to play.
It's a nice course for the money. They take relatively good care of it and they're food is good in their cafe at reasonable prices.
Excellent layout and routing of holes-- a really challenging course -- play one tee up from your "usual" cause it's tough. Conditions are generally good; good pro shop w/ friendly staff. Sand traps are to be avoided cause of lousy sand/dirt in most. You can brag about shooting a good score here!
The layout of this Golf course is just beautiful.Hitting from the elevated tee boxes is pure fun,but you have to keep your ball in play.Playing it in the wrong spot will cost you.
This course is definitely up to par! It is beautiful and well taken care of. There are a lot of elevation shots that are fun, yet very challenging. The staff are welcoming and friendly. We had a good time and will return.
And really a bargain too. I always see first time players say they played poorly, but really its that the course is more difficult than it appears.
Challenging hills, and fast greens. Add Great views, an outstanding hamburger at the grill, all this at a reasonable cost, nothing better in the area. Friendly staff who great you with famous Texas Hospitality, you will want to come back soon.
This is a testy golf venue that winds it's way along the Guadalupe river bottom just south of Lake McQueeney and east of New Braunfels. It was built 17 years ago by Foresight Golf and they own several other good courses in this area. On a winter day just after a hard freeze it was refreshing to see green grass on fairways and tees, not many Central Texas layouts are this green in the dead of winter. They have a small pro shop but it's overflowing with good golf stuff. The folks here are friendly and their starter is a young and spry fellow named Ken. He was getting everybody organized after a frost delay. The course itself is a tough test of golf, and the 20mph winds from the north increased the challenge. They start with an easy short par 4 and work up in difficulty to the Monster #7 hole. This is a 550+ dog leg with a wide creek affecting your second shot. The elevated green is a challenge. There is a good variety of holes and you will use most of the clubs in your bag to do well at the Bandit. It was busy today, but the pace of play was maintained well by a hands on Marshall who did a fine job of encouraging everyone.
I don't care how good the course is. When you are treaty bad from management the experience is not worth the money.
Wind your way through 18 holes of golf, while enjoying the fresh air of Country Life. Play on down to the Guadalupe River and come up the fence line....Cattle are grazing on the other side. Homes to live in and daily life to reckon for....peaceful, relaxing and quiet for making that Hole in One.
The Bandit is a great course, although a little pricy for the quality of course. The staff in the shop is friendly and knowledgeable.
I was shocked at the end of the round by how low a score I shot - but then I realized that I had to THINK about every one rather than just check the yardage and hit. This was my first time to play this course, and I will be back. And the other reviewers are right about the finishing hole.
