The water gardens were stunning and we enjoyed a cooler day with few other people around. Be aware that the gardens are not stroller/wheelchair friendly.

On a recent day-trip through Ft Worth, my hubby recommended a cool water fountain that he had heard of - after searching google maps, we realized it was this water garden. How very cool and unique. Since it was a foggy, drizzly, 50 degree March day, there were only two other families here with us. The three water areas to visit are"Active Pool", "Quiet Pool" and "Aerated Pool". You can walk 38' down the steps into the "Active Pool" while remaining dry ... the loudness of this pool is juxtaposed by the quietness of the two other pools. It's a very relaxing and beautiful place.

We went around sunset on Valentines Day and it was very crowded. Find a time when its not as full and it's a great time. Very cool to see. Not the best to take small children. Its not super safe for them.

Next to the convention center, nice park area. The steps down the water feature can be a little dizzying. While we were visiting, there was a group of guys doing parkour. It was VERY cool to watch.

This brilliant park is one of Johnson's best urban pieces. It has held up remarkably well. The directions of the water flow are cleverly done keeping the viewer's interests. Also, Logan's Run was shot here! Also, as you climb the steps in one of the water fountains, you contemplate the possibility of slipping and suing someone. It is a remarkable thing that no one has done that and ruined the park. Come now before it is lined with safety rails.

The sound of rush water is so relaxing! There were families exploring, people sitting and eating lunch. We enjoyed all the different water falls. A really fun place!

The Park is showing it's age, but still very impressive. You don't just look at the water features, you actually enter them. It is impressive to descend down a staircase, surrounded within a waterfall on all sides. Plenty of seating for a picnic lunch.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens sit on the edge of downtown Fort Worth very near the convention center. Designed by Phillip Johnson, it is an unusual collection of water features to be walked by and, in the case of the active pool, across. Parents should be very careful with small children near the active pool.

Had a weekend getaway in Fort Worth for our 27th anniversary, and we visited the Fort Worth Water Gardens. This was a very enjoyable place, quiet, relaxing and peaceful. I think we spent close to 2 hours there, just walking around, sitting, watching the pools, people and flow of the water. Bring a camera, some opportunity to take some beautiful shots. If your in downtown Fort Worth, this is definitely a place to stop and visit.

This attraction is just a must see and must experience in Fort Worth. There is something about this place that you have never encountered before, beautiful, unique, serene and exciting all at once. It's free!! Quite easy to find the location and street parking.

I recommend checking out The Water Gardens because of how unique it really is. It consists of three VERY different pools (I refer to them as pools but they’re not really pools) and a hill to overlook them all. The entrance to the water gardens has a beautiful sign with a small waterfall that pools down around the sign. The first water area we came upon was the misting style pool. It’s like a giant mister only on the ground and the mist is floating above it. It was pretty and nice to just watch. The second was this amazing maze rock style water area with steps that seemed almost to be floating down to the bottom and into the middle of the maze. It is unbelievable how loud it was at the bottom but not in a bad or painful way. I recommend taking your time going down the steps. The water is flowing down into the maze around you in several different ways. There’s water coming over steps, down waterfalls and around areas. It was fun and a neat perspective from down in it. And last but not least was the quiet water area. You go down a staircase to it and it is surrounded by a wall and trees. It is very calming, tranquil and yes, quiet. It gives you a relaxed feeling. Once we finished checking out the quiet pool area we went to the hill made up of some really tall steps and climbed to the top. It was a little difficult for me as I am shorter so I did have to stretch and put some strength into going up them. I also had to be very cautious and go slow going back down them. The view from the top is pretty. You can look to your right and see the maze style pool, in the center is the misting pool area and to the left is the quiet pool area. There was more to the park, open areas and such but we did not have time to explore it all. I am glad I got to see this as it was beautiful and unique.

The water gardens were very impressive. There were multiple fountains to take in. Climb to the top of the “Mountain” for a great view of the gardens. During the summer this would be a must stop to relax and enjoy the area.

Very good site to see. The neatest pool to see was the one you could walk down into on stepping stones and water flowing down all around you it was a very cool experience.

Very well designed square with multiple pools and waterfalls in a warm stone environment. Must be a great place to people-watch on a warm day.

This is another one of those free spots in Fort Worth which is always on the list to take visitors. Who doesn't love water? It's such a serine place to visit with the different types of pools to visit. You hardly realize you're in the city! Every time I have visited, it has never been crowded to where you couldn't enjoy the gardens. There is even a "mountain" to climb if you dare. And if you would like to walk among some grass, there is a walkway which takes you behind the "mountain" for a secluded grassy area. Very rarely have I see others back there. If you ever need a place in the city to get away from it all, this is the place! I used to study at the Water Gardens when I was in college it was that serene.
