Meeteetse is a charming Western town to begin with. . . a couple of good cafes and wooden sidewalks, but it's easy to overlook the town's museum which has an excellent photography section from the Pitchfork Ranch family and some terrific recreations of old time buildings and vintage transportation. When you finish exploring the museum, make sure to stop in at the Meeteetse Chocolatier. . .a world class maker of truffles, brownies, and all things chocolate. . .and he's a cowboy!

The Meeteetse Museums are the best little museums ever. Amazingly well done and everything is documented and handled with great care. The Bank Museum is like stepping back in time.

The little Meeteetse Museum is chuck full of photographs and memorabilia of the area. We were impressed by the amount of nice displays from the old west history here. This one is not to be missed.

Well worth the visit! We have taken many guests to this little museum and I learn something new every time. It is highly recommended to stop in if you have the time.

This museum is definitely worth the time taken to see the displays. The interior of the museum is a surprise. The displays are very well arranged. It is like going into a high qualify small grocery store. Each display (selection) is relatively small (one dress for each decade, one sheep herder pair of chaps amongst other items of clothing) but the quality is wonderful and the settings are very good. The museum is rich with photographs of not only the town but also the surrounding ranches. If you are a history buff or someone who loves old photographic techniques, it is worth the time to see Meeteetse's Museum.

A very nice museum with a lot of history from the area. It has one of the richest photographic collections from Charles Belden, a real life photo history of the Pitchfork Ranch. Well worth the time to stop and see the rich history of a friendly small town.
