Unfortunately this gallery, which was in a renovated bank building in downtown Capitan, is no longer open. The selection of art of varying prices and descriptions was well worth seeing.

Each summer we go up to Ruidoso for a day to enjoy the cool of the mountains. We have never gone further than Ruidoso, but this time we went on to the small town of Capitan. Capitan is a short scenic drive past Ruidoso and well worth the drive. Drive into the center of town where you will find what appears to be a renovated bank that is now a folk and fine art store. We have lived in the southwest on and off and visited many times and are used to the typical southwest art stores. This one is different and well worth the side trip. The store is called Oso Art, from folk to fine.
