This town bathhouse is o.k. as they go — but you will be indoors, in an actual tub. This is not at all the same as going to one of the springs that feature outdoor pools fed by the hot springs for you to sit in and enjoy. If you just want the tub experience along with some other Spa offerings, this will do. I recommend, however, you get out and enjoy the outdoor springs sites around town.

The mineral soak was great, very relaxing, but the massage I had by Sheree was possibly the best massage I've ever had and I have had a LOT of bodywork done over the years! Can't recommend her highly enough!

I was visiting New Mexico to see my girlfriend and she suggested we go here. It was a great experience. The staff was very nice. First we had an hour massage. Then we soaked in tubs for 25 minutes. Then we had a wrap for 25 minutes. I felt so relaxed when I left. The massage was wonderful as was the soak and the wrap. Definitely recommend this place.

I was a little confused at first. Have only been to pool, outdoor, communal hot springs so took me a minute to figure out what we were doing. But was very nice relaxing to have your own private tub to soak in springs. Staff was very friendly. Looked like they do massages, wraps, etc. We arrived late so only had time for soak. Very nice place.

This was our first trip to this location. Jemez Springs is a very small little town set amidst massive red rock mountains with incredible natural beauty surrounding the area. There are several hot spring locations in Jemez Springs: The Bath House has a unique set up in that you have your own inside private cement bathtub that is cleaned after each patron. The nice thing about this facility is that you can regulate the temperature of the water in your large tub. Be careful though, the hot water side comes out up to 186 degrees Fahrenheit which = 86 degrees Celsius! If you don't move back away from the water spout when you want to warm up your water, you WILL get burned. They make you sign a waiver just in case you are too stupid to read all the HOT water warnings they have posted everywhere. You can request to be in a dual tub area if you want to share the space with your companion simply by pulling back the curtain that separates the two tubs. I noticed one single space back in the far corner that was the most private area (which I would recommend you request if you are reserving ahead of time for yourself only). There are beds outside the soaking tubs that you can lay down on afterward if you feel lightheaded or want to rest. They also have massage therapists on staff and (although appearing to be an historic building with a bronze tin ceiling), the entire facility looked very CLEAN, well-maintained, and inviting. There is a restroom all the way at the end of the hall of therapy tubs & rooms where you can put yourself back together. The cost is $18 to soak for one hour and $12 for 1/2 hour. If you are a senior citizen, it costs $15 per hour. The waters are very mineral rich with some sulphur, and entirely rejuvenating. The only thing I DIDN'T like about Jemez Springs was the HUGE police presence in this tiny remote mountain town ~ VERY PECULIAR! So a word of advice ~ watch your speed and take personal precautions while you are there. For heaven's sake don't go & tie one on in the one and only local pub and get nailed by Barney Fiff laying in wait for you whilst buffing his bullets!

My husband and I booked a co-ed soak (tubs beside each other) and herbal wrap of lavender, peppermint and rosemary. Excellent! The bath was perfect (you could keep it really hot or add cold mineral spring water to cool to your preference). The herbal wrap was very hot (a little too got for me but the lady suggested sticking one arm out and that helped). You can't be claustrophobic and do the wrap. I would highly recommend both the soak and the wrap. My husband even loved it!

We live in Santa Fe, and today we made the trip to the Jemez Springs Bath House. It was wonderful! The massage by Audrey was as good as you will get anywhere. She quickly found the tight, troublesome spots and worked on them until they were feeling better. The soaking in mineral water, I guess, was helpful, but next time I will stick to a massage. The entire facility was clean and well-maintained, but the area for the mineral bath had the look and feel of a 1950s Communist facility: long on functionality, but short on luxury. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional, and the price is right. It was definitely a trip I will remember for a long time. One other thing: the drive through Los Alamos and the Jemez Mountains is spectacular.

We met our son in Albuquerque in December for a get-away and spent two nights in Jemez Springs. Our son had visited Jemez Springs earlier in the year and enjoyed the Bath House at that time and he wanted to introduce us to it. We went there both days in December. We each had a hot bath the first day and the second day I had a combination bath and then massage and my wife had the bath and then a wrap- and our son had the longer bath. We really enjoyed the experience. The ladies were very nice and provided good service. The building is a "no frills" building but we enjoyed the very old concrete tubs with the HUGE spouts and the really hot water coming in [you adjust the cold water yourself]. I've had a few massages in my life and this one was very good- very relaxing. I also thought the prices were quite reasonable and we loved the history of the hot springs in this part of New Mexico. We all recommend the Bath House and I hope you found this review helpful. I know we'll be back!

We were driving from Taos and came upon this bathhouse. We went in and had to wait 20 min in order for them to accommodate all of us. But they were able to accommodate us without any reservation. It was nice and relaxing. Clean. The staff was chilled out and friendly. I would strongly recommend a bath as well as their herbal wraps and other services. The scenery is lovely -- after a bath take a walk around. It's heavenly.

We made reservations for the day after Thanksgiving. We did the 50-minute soak and herbal wrap; and the 25-minute soak, herbal wrap and massage; total less than $150. It's a not-for-profit set up by the city, and the staff are very pleasant. Somewhat Spartan, but unpretentious and good value. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had never done anything like this but enjoyed a rustic soak in the hot spring tub. I also enjoyed an incredible massage by Sara afterwards!

I get massages whenever I travel. You never know what to expect. Well, don't expect an upscale spa environment here. It's clean and friendly and historic, but not fancy. DO EXPECT an amazing massage. Sharee ranks as the best massage I've ever gotten. Can't wait to get another one. It will be worth the 1.5 hour drive from my home in Santa Fe.

I was having a stress week and day. Booked a soak, wrap and massage - best ever! I would definitely make the drive from Albuquerque to Jemez just for me. It is about a hour to get there and well worth the trip. Very affordable. Sara is the best for massage!

We annually come to Albq.to fly fiesta. It has become "tradition" for the ladies to take a break and head for the bathhouse. We have always left in a limp noodle state and enjoyed our experience! The relaxing qualities of the old tubs is possibly my favorite. I was told years ago, that this was the location of the cowboys bathhouse back in the day, which makes it even more interesting to me. Nothing fancy but clean & relaxing.

Friendly and helpful staff and expert masseurs. Located in scenic Jemez Valley. Cafes and local fare close by.
