I took a small group of guests who were visiting from out of town. They enjoyed watching a bronze pouring at Shidoni Foundry first. We then saw Mr Miner blow a large glass platter a the Tesuque Glassworks next door. My guests were interested and enjoyed the demonstration and the beautiful glass on display. They purchased some small pieces to take home with them. Followed up with lunch at the Village Market. Great morning for all. Note: Call ahead and they may be able to tell you when they are producing pieces of particular interest.

This was extremely over rated. I know the location is out of the way, and on a smaller scale compared to some places i have been around the world, but even taking this into account still doesn't stand up as a glass works location i would want to go to again.

This is a great find right outside of the city. Not only did the artist who was blowing glass take the time to educate us and answer questions - the other artist who was running the shop gave us a quick tour of how they design and create the molded glass items. Additionally the foundry and sculpture park (Shidoni) is on the same property. Be aware Tesuque is open every day from 9-5p Shidoni hours are Bronze Gallery:Monday - Saturday, 9 - 5p and Arts Gallery:Tuesday - Saturday, 9 - 5p.

It's a wonderful little place. Beautiful glass works by local artisans. There is on site glass blowing daily and watching it is fascinating. Prices in their small gallery are reasonable and they ship your purchases for you if you like. If you are carrying on the airplane, they will pack it accordingly. Friendly staff. Off the beaten path, but if you are planning to go do Shidoni Foundry, they are located at the front of the property.

Like anyone else who is good at what they do, the artists at Tesuque Glassworks made everything look incredibly easy. We bought two pieces for ourselves, and they were very accomodating when we asked to have them shipped. Great, interesting place to go see!

Tesuque Glassworks and Shidoni are beside each other and worth a stop. Free parking. Watch for entrance; easy to miss. See my review of Shidoni also. Glassworks has beautiful pieces in a range of prices, some quite high. Unique art glass. A blower was ready to work on a bowl. The viewing area is small and pretty close, so we watched all her steps. Very interesting to see the craft and artwork required for a single piece. Staff was welcoming and informative about their entire operation. They also cast glass, an intricate process that was new to us. Remarkable skill. Allow up to an hour depending on whether an artist is blowing and also your level of interest in the details of the craft.

We spent about an hour here after we'd gone to visit the Shidoni Foundary. Be sure and go there as well. They are pretty much on the same road.At the glassworks, we were pleasured with the glassmaster creating a plate. It was a fascinating process, and one even older young children would enjoy. There was no entry fee, and it was very incredible to see this work of art created from a little blob of glass. Worth checking out.

shidoni and tesuque glassworks are actually together and you should do all of them at the same time! you can do this the same day you go to chimayo and the santuario. the glass they produce is absolutely unique and they are works of art, not just decorative glass.

Got there just as the artist glass blower started a piece. Great up close viewing area. Loved watching and interacting with the "blower". Small but nice showroom, no pressure to buy, but we did. Great experience.

For those who like art glass, this is a must see. The art on display is gorgeous and there is a viewing section where one can watch it being crafted. Those with the money to buy some of this beautiful stuff should take a look. The rest of us should too but only to dream.

Excellent display of high quality glass works. Worth including on any visit to the Shidoni Foundry Sculpture Garden.

We visited Glassworks over the weekend with our 8 year old son. He was fascinated watching the artist create a vase. Art and fire are a hard combination to miss. There was a place for him to sit and the artist was really nice - explaining the steps and then showing us what the finished product would look like. I highly recommend this as a kid friendly place to stop while on a trip to Santa Fe (though as a grown up, I found it all very fascinating as well so don't hold back if you don't have kids in tow).

This is a working glass studio and you will be able to see glassware, glass art and jewelry being made. Everyone is welcome to watch, even the kids. The glass products are all unique and one of a kind and can make great unusual gifts. The artists are welcoming and engaging. Some of them will make things just for you if you'd like. The drive out to Tesuque is lovely as well.

Really neat place and the people could not have been more friendly and engaging. Also the only glass shop I've ever been to where I was encouraged to handle the glass. My son loved being able to watch the glass being blown and shaped and folks doing the work were very patient answering all the questions the kid had. Great selection and reasonable prices too.

We got there just as a couple of vans fill of people and had a difficult time seeing the glass work. I know it would have been interesting to see. The glass for sale was nice and we bought a small piece. Some of the items were crazily high priced and I know you are paying for the talent as much as the object but they were terribly unrealistic. There is a gallery next door as well as a sculpture garden which is nice. The gallery has many interesting works but once again they have a very high regard for their work and price accordingly.
