Was looking for a great place to eat on our last night in park city. We have 3 kids, 7, 6, and 17 months. Place looks pretty fancy but they had a high chair and were very accommodating. River horse was rated #1 on trip advisor and it did not disappoint. I had the game trio which was bison, venison, and elk. Extremely good. my wife ordered the encrusted halibut with mango sauce which was very good as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. Finished off with some late harvest Riesling and the molten chocolate cake. In all great dinner. Best meal I have had in a while. Great service. Will be back for sure.
Take a trip to River Horse Brewing and see. They'll give you a great tour that's fun and informative and then you can taste some yummy beer and buy some to take home, along with some fun swag. Thanks to our crazy NJ laws you have to tour first to get the 'educational' piece in before you can taste (don't bother questioning, our liquor laws are mind boggling) but you'll have fun anyway.
River Horse Brewery had to relocate out of Lambertville, NJ. Last year or longer. Too bad. I liked there little Tasting Bar and Gift Shop.
As noted, River Horse Brewery has moved. Presently located in Ewing, NJ.Star rating does NOT reflect quality of the establishment!
Unfortunately, River Horse has moved from Lambertville so it is not an option here. It was fun while it was here. Closest brewery is Triumph in New Hope, PA.
Good beer they have a tasting area but sorry to say that they moved to Ewing NJ July 7th 2013 go on their website and read about what they offer.
Cozy little brewery with samples and tours. I enjoyed the tour (1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00) and learning about the history. The $1-for-4 beer samples are tasty but it is so tiny and packed to get a sample. The guys that worked there were helpful.
We stopped in at the tasting room on a Friday afternoon. They give you four samples for a dollar. The only problem was that the Friday we went, the only thing that they had on tap was the Summer Blonde. The fourth sample of Summer Blonde did taste better than the first. It grows on you. They have a little shop there where you can get beer, shirts, etc. I mixed and matched my own six pack to take home and sample. We'll definitely go back a try again, but they will be moving from Lambertville to Ewing soon. You can't go wrong for a dollar.
If you have never been here give it a try. What a find. Off the main drag of New Hope get place to stop mid afternoon on the weekend before dinner. The beer was great and the tour was fun. Loved sampling the beer. Bought a 6 pack and took it to dinner in New Hope! Watch out because some of the beer packs a huge punch at 10% alcohol. They are moving to Ewing in May so try to get to this location before the move. You will not be disappointed.
A little off the main drag, but a short walk from the antique stores and restaurants, is this lil' brewery. The best deal in town, where $1 buys you 4 samples of 5oz cup-ettes of beer. Tours on the hour, with some interesting history/background. It's small, and can fill up pretty quick, but squeeze in for a sampling of some good local brew.
Run by only like 9 people - seriously?! Don't expect a grand tasting room and tour. It's intimate, and that suited us just fine. Great beer, fun atmosphere, and only takes a bit of time to pop by. A must-do if you're in the area.
Tucked away in Lambertville, we stumbled across this place almost by accident and we loved it. It's a reasonably small brewing operation that offered tours and was filled with a warm fun personality! The icing on the cake was their beer is delicious, the Tripel Horse is worth it alone
Finding the brewery can be a little bit tough but once you get there you can get a flight of 4 excellent beers for a dollar. the tour is good and staff is nice. there is always a crowd in the little tasting room and it's easy to make new friends. One of the best kept secrets in Lambertville.
Currently they provide tours Sat/Sun each hour 1,2,3,4 PM. No free samples, but that's okay. You can try the four they have on tap for just $1. A great deal for some really fine beer. You can also mix a six pack of available brews in their tasting room cooler. The tasting room is currently open 1-5 Fri-Sun for samples/beer/swag. Parking is free here for the tour. It's a small lot, but I had no problem parking between 1&2 on Sunday. It's a nice tour if you enjoy beer! Check them out!
My husband and I have visited several small breweries, so the tour (while informative and well-presented) told us nothing new. But getting samples of four beers for only one dollar was a treat. If you've never toured a micro-brewery before, go for it. if you'd like to enjoy good beer for next-to-no money, go for it.
