We decided to visit Riamede for our annual apple picking. Their trees are well established and their variety is great. There are peak weeks depending on the type of apples. A poster with their varieties clearly indicates where the varieties are located. They color code their trees for easy finding. We were luck to visit Riamede almost at the end of the season.. Basically all areas very open by then. Riamede also has a pumpkin patch - the real deal where you can take the pumpkin from the vine. They have a store that sells jams, honey, crafts, etc. We purchased apple cider which unfortunately fermented really fast. Overall a good experience. We will come back next year for more delicious apples and will make their pumpkin patch our pumpkin source too.

For all the reviews, I thought that this place would have had more to offer. My kids found it very boring. Other than some decent donuts, we also thought the staff was not great, a bit rude, even heard one of them joking about the "city folk". We will not be back. We found some place different this past weekend that we enjoyed. The only reason for the 2 star and not a 1 star is the fact that the apples and donuts were tasty.

Great fun for families, couples or groups. The staff is excellent, especially "Aunt Sally" down from New Hampshire. There are many varities of apples that become ripe at different times. We fell the mid to late september is best for us.Make dure to get the cider it is the best around and comes from a local cider mill.Highly recommend it for a nice fall retreat.

I picked apples here for several years when I lived in Chester and now that I live in Florida I try to always visit family during the apple season. Riamede never fails to have great apples, reasonable price, and absolutely the best Cider Apple Donuts around. My 3 year old grandson come almost every week to pick apples and always has a blast. He can even tell you some of the best ones to pick. This will be where he comes for his pumpkins too. There is a $1.00 fee per adult on weekends but not during the week so if you're local come then. Thanks Riamede for staying great!

NOT TOO BIG, NOT TOO SMALL BUT IT HAS IT ALL! Apple, pumpkin picking, hayrides, treats and snacks! Wagons to pull the items you picked to the cashier. Hot or cold delicious, fresh-pressed apple cider and also the best apple-cider donuts you will ever taste! Good thing we live far enough away or I would be eating those every day! The orchards have a great variety of apples to pick from and low enough for the kids to reach. The hayride is a nice ride to the orchard as well as the pumpkin patch, but you can actually walk yourself too. ALl in all a great day out!

This is a simple, no frills farm.... And for some people/families that perfectly ok! I have been going to this farm since I was young and now I'm taking my husband and son there, every year. They have free hay rides on weekends to tale you to the pumpkin field. The apples get tastier every year and the employees are extremely helpful. There is a $1 entrance fee and apple bags are 50 cents. We bring our own bags and the dollar fee is cheaper than any other orchard. When you go thru the barn to pay, they have gourds, mums, etc to purchase too. Thank you Riamede for 35+ years of joy!

Very simple farm...apples, pumpkins. No hay rides or anything along those lines. Property is well maintained, people are friendly and most importantly, the apples are yummy. The apple cider donuts, especially when warm, and the apple cider are excellent!

Within the big picture of apple crops, Riamede has a plentiful and healthy apple crop this year. The super-sweet Ginger Golds were discovered by the crows in late August and may have shown some signs of rot where pecked. The crows do know what's tasty. However, our Ginger Golds were picked out within a few days of opening as most who love this apple know the occasional bird peck is easily just cut away.Every farm on the east coast experienced an extremely wet growing season with the April showers continuing through the summer. Regardless of which farm you choose to visit this year, do know that it was a challenging year and farmers should be praised, not condemned as does Mr. Singapore ExPat, for their agricultural successes.Riamede charges a $1 admission on weekends only. The admission is largely to keep the orchards as uncrowded as possible and to encourage the gripers not excited about apple picking to visit a different farm. Other farms charge as much as $5 admission, so we remain reasonable, but not free.We sell both recyclable bags and our own heavy duty apple picking bags ( 50 cents) that won't break when full of apples. However, all are welcome to bring your own bags, no requirement to buy ours! And, of course, charging for plastic does reduce overall plastic usage, generally an environmentally good thing.

Lovely small farm that clearly takes pride in its apples. Would recommend it, but if you're looking for mazes and face painting would recommend Alstede's.

We go every year. I live locally and love to stop by to get the freshest heirloom apples around. Just check the hours of operation, they close promptly. They are friendly and will give you lots of information on the types of apples they carry.

Only open seasonly so make sure you get there in the early fall. Many varieties of apple trees. Pick your own or purchase from the small store. Always a great day of apple picking at Riamede Farm. (Don't forget your pole picker on the way out to the orchard.

In early October, my family and I were visiting from Texas and we went apple picking. We had a wonderful time sampling apples and walking around the farm. We picked and purchases a bag of apples and would have bought some cider, but they didn't have any small containers (we were traveling so a large amount would have been impractical). I used to go to the farm when I was a kid 30+ years ago. At that time you were welcome to picnic in the fields (no longer allowed) and it wasn't surrounded by a fence (a little sad that one is necessary). Even so, we had a great time!

Took my adult children there when they had time away from college, so peaceful, organized, and scenic. The lines moved fast, the prices were good and will continue to go there every season until I can no longer drive up (2 hrs)
