I love the design, but most of all I like the quiet respect in the area where you can contemplate the loss of so many, as well as how much people have given, to rebuild, to bring to justice, to remember.Located in Liberty State Park, there is usually ample free parking, and there are lots of outdoors things to do ... the Statue of Liberty being very close, and the park itself is large, and have play areas for children, and long wide paths to walk along and view the NYC skyline.

I go for my daily run through Liberty State Park, and always had the same path. One day to expand the distance I ran to the waters edge and found this monument, or at least, it found me. Now it's a part of my daily run and seeing people walk through the unblemished etchings of names of those who were lost, and standing at just the right angle and realizing that if September 11th 2001 never happened, the monument wouldn't be there to outline of what is, and what is no longer wouldn't be needed. But it did happen, and when you stand directly in front of it, for just one small moment it looks like the towers are still there. It really is a special little walk. It takes a few minutes to pass through but to see it, with the sun coming over or the sun going down. It really is something.

I live nearby, so I see it often. It never fails to move me. It is a small and simple reminder of the grief of that day and all the days that followed.

Nice small almost seems hidden WTC 911 Memorial. Great views of new Freedom Tower and NYC skyline from here.

I honestly find this to obstruct and detract from the natural beauty and serenity of LSP. There is a beauty and peace with how LSP interacts visually with NYC, particularly lower Manhattan where the twin towers stood. No disrespect at all to the purpose of the memorial, but it's a shame in my opinion that such a large, shadow-casting structure had to be put in such prime open space along the river. A more subtle memorial would have been more fitting. I actually never go to this memorial for these reasons, though I'm in the park at least several times a year.

Stylish memorial and a fantastic view over Manhattan. We spent the night in Newark before heading on to Florida. Took time to visit Jersey City and Empty Sky. Very nice!

Didn't know what to expect when visiting 9/11 site other than what we had seen on t.v. But all in all it was very touching to see all of the names etched into the panels along the side of the TWO enormous waterfalls that went deep into the center. One of the waterfalls was not functioning at the time we were there.

Class, well-done memorial - very sobering to walk through and see where the World Trade Centers were. It really is a beautiful memorial.

My first time to see the other side of the Empty Sky- 9/11 Memorial New Jersey side. It was an awesome view! Very emotional and at the same a heartfelt way of remembering those who perished on that dreadful day.

It was a sad moment for me and my wife because it was our first visit and just to be there reminded us the horrific attack New York has that day.GotA few pictures that I will upload later on.

Beautiful tribute to the 9/11 tragedy. Reading the names, etc. put their lives in view. They weren't just the close to 3,000 that you heard about. You're reading their names. One woman's name with "& her unborn child", made me want to cry. The old, the middle age, the new career person, and the unborn died. Wow!

Another memorial worth the trip. It was moving and emotional and very nicely put together. I'll stop by again next time I'm in the area.

We visited after sundown snd had the place to our self. A beautiful view of the Manhattan Skyline. A very touching place - a shame though that some of the lights on the names didn't work.

We stood, in silence, with tears in our eyes, at this wonderful memorial to those who lost their lives. Very moving.
