I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon!"the Tandem Sled Journey" was a Christmas present from my husband and an item on my bucket list. It was an educational adventure for a dog lover like myself.Christine and Kip were patient and great teachers. The dogs were a true pleasure to watch and take in their running drive. The trail was beautiful.Loved it and would like to experience it again.

My wife told me she would like to go dog sledding for her birthday (her age is a secret, but we have been married for 51 years). Anyway, we traveled from our home in Connecticut to the Seal Cove Journeys experience. We stayed at the Woodstock Inn which is about 40 minutes away. Because we expected rain on the day we had scheduled our sledding experience, we called to reschedule, and Kip & Cristine ( the owners) were able to accommodate our request. We took the Tea & Cookies trip, which was about an hour. Christine & Kip were wonderful in explaining the dogs, their behaviors and the whole concept of dog sledding. They are former professionals from the bioscience field and have decided to pursue their first love, dogs and sledding. The dogs are very impressive and strong. We traveled about 4-5 miles in one direction and then returned. It was super! Christine talked to us and the dogs throughout the trip and made it very interesting. We highly recommend this experience for anyone who enjoys the outdoors in New England, and particularly those who also love dogs,

With numerous fun and exciting activities to choose from at this year's WinterFest, the dog sleds were still the hit of the weekend! The willingness to adapt to the needs of our event and the ever-changing winter conditions is why we asked Kip and Christine to return this year and why they'll be our first call when planning for WinterFest 2015 begins.Parents and children line up all day long to get their chance to experience the thrill of a dog sled ride. It was once again our premier activity at Litchfield WinterFest.See you next year!

I gave this adventure to my spouse as a Christmas gift. We had been talking about a dog sledding adventure for years. ... and Christine, Kip and the dogs did not disappoint! We has such a fun time. The guides were so informative, giving us loads of interesting tid bits about the sport, racing, what it takes from a dog to be on a team, etc... And naturally, it was a rush to drive the team (under Christine's expert wings, of course)! A highly recommended experience!

It was our first dog sled ride and believe you me it was soooo much fun. The dogs were very friendly...my 2 year old son had a fun filled time playing with them. The ride was experience of a lifetime nd memorable with the owners kip and Christine. The owners were very friendly and made us feel so comfortable through out the ride. They also offered cookies and hot chocolate....altogether it was a perfect treat. Recommended for all!!

This past weekend we held our first annual WinterFest. I had been considering putting together a winter carnival for a couple years and thought that this was the year we would get it done. To have a successful event we needed some type of "anchor" activity and we thought dog sledding was the perfect thing.Of all the dog sled operators I spoke with most were unwilling to meet the format that we hoped for. Kip and Christine, however, listened to our needs and found a way to do what we wanted while keeping the well being of the dogs as the first priority. They provided the rides throughout the day as a form of entertainment, while at the same time educating interested listeners about the sport and the dogs. By the end of the day we were able to accommodate nearly 200 people on the dog sleds. This was due, in part, to the willingness of Kip and Christine to go non-stop throughout the day, but also because they brought 23 dogs with them to our event to make sure things went as planned. Our first annual WinterFest was a huge success, largely because of our choice to work with Seal Cove Journeys. We have already begun thinking about next years event and I know many are putting Seal Cove at the top of our priority list.Thank you to Christine, Kip, and all the dogs.(especially Shadow, the apparent favorite of many children!)

We had a great day as a family (us parents plus two children 16 and 11). Christine and Kip of Seal Cove dog sledding made it a great day, sharing their love and knowledge of this sport and the dogs. Beautiful snowbound New Hampshire woods, speeding along a groomed trail, getting to help with the dogs...all a great time.Highly recommended both for couples and as a family activity. Dress warmly and have great outdoor fun.

I would highly recommend going on a sled dog ride with Seal Cove Journey's. I took my girlfriend and her two little sisters and they had the time of their life's.They didn't stop smiling all day. Christine and Kip the guides, are very knowledgeable, trusting, caring. They took the time explain the gear and sleds to us. They also introduced the little ones to all of the dogs, which were the sweetest dogs we have ever met. Well worth it and would do it again in a heart beat!!!!!
