Fantastic theater in a small town. Brings great touring shows and artists. Very reasonable prices. Not a bad seat in the house.
The CCA draws national names; we've been a number of times and paid less than half the price for what we'd pay in the Big City. This allows us to tag on a stay at the nearby Centennial Hotel for a great getaway.
We love this place. The staff is friendly and we always have a good time. Last time was for Alex Preston!! Front row, great seats, great show!!
The Capital Center of Arts is a great place to to catch a show and hang out with friends. I really like the comedy acts they get.
A little gem, great venue! You can buy your bar drinks in the lobby and take them to your seat! Wow! Very historic building , great acoustics. Plenty of on street parking ( free on weekends, or weekdays after 6 pm). They offer a varied line up...plays, concerts, comedians, screenings, etc. ,
We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the Elvis Costello performance. Being a historic theater, the CCA prides itself on the high quality of it sound system and the natural acoustics of the theater. Sound for this performance was set and controlled by Mr. Costello's crew, but we are aware that there may have been a technical issue with one of Mr. Costello's guitars at the start of the performance, but that was remedied during the performance.
Great concert, comfortable seats, well organized crowd control- all around enjoyable evening. We make the trek once in a while because they get such great talent.
They book all kinds of entertainment, So you can go when the performers are something you want to see. The restored building is worth a trip
What a gem for the Arts in Concord ! Their events vary so that everyone will find something to see...we saw acomedian & it was an intimate setting in a period theatre. There is a lovely lobby & bar area where you can wait, have a glass of wine or just explore.
We went to see Mark Twain Tonight! - a one man show by Hal Holbrook on April 11, 2014. This theater was a great venue for a show. Not a bad seat really and cozy but, big enough to host a show. The Chubb Theater within the CCANH is very well appointed. It's pretty and easy to get in and out. There are several ushers and others there to help everyone and to keep traffic flow orderly.Pros: great atmosphere, lots of ushers, good views, location in the middle of main st. is ideal - plenty of shops/restaurants/clubs within walking distance, plenty of parking (free and paid) nearbyCons: not much offered in the way of concessions
... great location - within walking distance... show started on time - seats were comfortable, theater clean and lovely... not a bad seat in the house...
I wasn't sure what to expect because I hadn't heard the Irish Rovers since I was in High School. The Capital Center for the Arts was a great concert hall for the music the sound and the whole performance was amazing. It was worth the experience and I definitely loved seeing the Irish Rovers again after many years. I would recommend the Concord Capital Center for the Arts to anyone.
Something is always happening here...everything from Broadway shows to concerts and lectures. The only problem is convenient parking and for that you just need a little luck.
My friend and I recently attended a concert--it was packed!--and while waiting for it to begin, I enjoyed looking at the beautiful paint job throughout. The sound system seemed fine to me and I found the seats comfy.
The sound in this theatre is great, and hardly a bad view in the house. Seats are way too close, however, and leg room was almost non-existent
