Beautiful, open, well lit spot for lunch. Nice seating and an area with fireplace/seating. Food is delicious! We had soup and burgers. Yum! Service was friendly. Prices are good. A very nice experience.
Had a great time going on the brewery tour. Learned a lot, Got to taste some new products. Interesting work these people do. They take great pride in their efforts and understand the importance of cleanliness. Was there for a conference. The food at the eating area was incredible also.
$5 entrance to the brewery tour for Red Hook was well worth it! The tour was short, but interesting. Looking out over the massive production room was something you don't usually get to see in standard brewery tours, so that was a nice addition. We got to sample several different beers at the conclusion of the tour, and included in every ticket is a full sized Red Hook pint glass as a souvenir. The only drawback was the semi-chaotic ticket buying process. The tour counter is near the hostess stand for the restaurant attached to the brewery, and there was some confusion about where to buy tickets. But overall, well worth $5, and fun!
Had never been here, but a recent purchase of a kegerator and not wanting to go to a known keg dealer that appears to be shady for many years, we went here blind and were so impressed that we are now loyal. So, YES, they do sell many sizes of kegs for their beer. My husband is thrilled. There is no deposit required for the size of keg we got. You sign an agreement and supply a license. That's HUGE!! Love it! Nice place!
We stopped in here for a Brewery Tour at 2:15 not realizing they only run by the hour. We decided to pop over to the bar and wait for the 3:00 tour, the bartender Scott was friendly and let us buy our tour tickets from him. We shared a Spinach Artichoke Cheese dip (yummy!) and a couple of beers while we waited. The tour started promptly at 3 and was really quite interesting, it didn't last very long but our tour guide was great, wish I could remember his name. The tour is only $5.00 and includes a beer tasting of four different beers, all very good, and a 16 ounce Red Hook Glass. We both really enjoyed ourselves and thought it was a great starting place for our visit to Portsmouth.
