franz jevne state park

This place is really cool. It is kind of hard to get to but so worth the trip. I have never been anywhere that had the ambience that Franz Jevne had. Everything was so green and woodsy. The campsites looked like something out of a horror film and I mean that in the best way possible. It was so rustic and mossy I have never seen anything like it anywhere. There was no one here when we came through and it seemed like it didn't get many visitors. The park is on the border with Cananda and the Rainy river is what borders it here. The trail was filled with more mushrooms than I have ever seen anywhere. But more than the amount was the crazy diversity of mushrooms, so many I had never seen before. One of the major highlights of this park is the Rock Outcrops that date back 2.5 Billion years located on the Hiking Club Trail. Make the trip, see the park for yourself. It is truely one of a kind.
