Horrific mold smell slaps you in the face upon entering this facility. Extremely run down. We also wondered how food could be served under such disgusting conditions. EPA/OSHA where are you? Vendors wares looked like leftovers from a 3rd world country rummage sale. The whole place should be condemned. Why would Monticello want to promote this horrid place?!
It was sad to see the state this flea market is in. 20 years ago this place was amazing!!! But today only about 30% of the stalls were full and the building and covered stalls are in in horrible condition! 1/2 of the building is closed due to what they say is vandalism. But looks more like poor upkeeping.
This place should be condemned, black mold everywhere on the inside. How can they even serve food here. Womens bathroom only 2 our of 5 toilets worked. Outside buildings falling apart, hardly any vendors waste of time and gas! Annandale swappers meet is 100% better.
Don't waste your time going here. The place is run down and not worth the trip. The buildings and the outdoor shelters are rotting and falling apart. The venders are basically selling stuff that should hit the dumpster.
Osowski's Flea Market in Monticello, MN has been making improvements this year. They have both indoor and outdoor vendors but on different days. Indoor only on Sat. 8-3 and indoor and outdoor on Sun. 8-3. They also have fun foods inside the building like corn dogs and mini-donuts but also have great hamburgers and fries. Breakfast foods are served 8-10:30 am and lunch from 10:30am to 2:30 pm. I found out from the owner that the seasonal hours are (weather permitting) from approx. late-April thru summer and ending about mid-October. They now have a web page for more info at: http://www.discovermonticello.com/fleamarket
Nothing there. We made a special trip to go here....very disappointed. Everything was vacant and over grown. Looks like it once thrived but no longer....
When I was there 15 years ago the Orchard and Flea Market were excellent. There were great booths with merchandise and wonderful apple produce. For the past few years it has become dirty and ill-kept. The merchandise is questionable as to its origin. A friend bought tires that were later confiscated by police because they were stolen. The apple produce is still good. Even though they have more indoor area for booths, it is not a place I would recommend unless you are out for an adventure.
This used to be a good flea market, but it has become more or less junk now. Items are cheaply made and most likely bought in bulk from China. Very few vendors have good finds or handmade items. The buildings are also all very run down. There has been no upkeep over the years. The place should be shut down.
Found this place by accident a few years ago and now it's a must visit at least once every summer or more often. Entertainment in the building and an amazing array of vendors. Someone's junk could be your treasure. Have made a couple of good finds here.
