The Red Wing Shoe store & Museum is a great family destination in downtown Red Wing, Mn. It is interesting and educational watching the art of shoe making. The giant boot inside the store is a fantastic photo opportunity. The store is clean and well put together with an outdoor theme and some unique props. The staff there is so friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. You can buy fantastic foot wear that is made in the great USA!!!

There is a fascinating history to the shoe... It's takes just a few minutes to go through. The giant shoe is giant!

If you are ever planning a visit near Red Wing you must stop and check out the shoe store. The huge boot is amazing in the entry way, I loved the smell and feel of the real leather. The largest shoe I have ever seen! I confess I did not check out the museum upstairs as I had limited time and found myself downstairs looking at the shoes. Some of the shoes were on a really good sale and I bought a nice pair. Red Wing is a pretty town along the Mississippi River and worth a stop!

Red Wing is a great little town on the mighty Mississippi and worth a day or two of wandering the lazy, attractive, compact town. One of the good stops was the Red Wing shoe store and museum. nostalgic photos, great smell of leather boots, comfortable environment. The giant boot was one of the highlights. Gotta have your picture taken standing next to this great stomper.

The kids will love this place. While they cannot climb on the largest boot in the world, they'll certainly want you to take a picture of them being "stomped" by the boot.The museum includes red wing boots in a variety of situations. Very hands on for the kids and the kid in all of us. The store also has a nice collection of Red Wing branded products for you to purchase.

Loved the giant boot in the entry ! Sadly they did not have the shoe I wanted in my size . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

We always have to stop here because of the shopping and the antiques. My wife buys her shoes in the shoe store, it's cheaper, even when they are not on sale. Good shoes, Merrill's, Hush puppies, and others. Got four pair of shoes, regular $425 for $162.

The big Big boot is on display in the store. Up stairs there is an informative photo display of the history of the factory as well as a video showing how shoes are made. We did not get to go to the actual factory as their was no tour going on the day we were there. We found this very enjoyable.

What else can one say, it is a giant boot and everyone should have there picture taken with it to go with there picture of houses of mud, balls of twine, 6 ton prairie dogs and all the other great memories of great trips and sites. For an extra special treat, find the small museum of "cameras broken by strangers while photographing you with a boot" display

When in Red Wing - EVERYONE has to go see the BIG Red Wing Boot! There also is a huge selection of Red Wing products to check out while there.

We had so much fun at this museum slash store..even though its located in our hometown..We were like tourist the first time there . They have the worlds biggest work boot and a staircase going all the way to the top.If you go don"t miss the bathrooms they are totally awesome the faucet comes out of the mirror and they have old work tools embedded in the counter tops !! Way cool

We enjoyed the store, the museum, the discount area, and the world's largest boots. And the employees were right out of the movie, Fargo. I would have liked it better if I could have afforded anything in the store. Nice location, right on the main drag.

OK, so you are near Red Wing Minnesota and you've never visited the downtown store and museum. Please, please stop in and look around. They have some very interesting displays of their shoes history and they have this 20 foot tall massive boot in the lobby. It costs nothing to come in and look around. You will certainly want to get pictures of yourselves standing by the boot. Shop all their official Red Wing shoe merchandise including hats, shirts, cups and many other things as well as shoes and boots.

I happened to run across this place on a "drive" on vacation. This is a cool little town to walk around. It is "old town" shopping and walla, there is the Red Wing Store. I had no clue about the interest in this but I guess it's a northerner kinda thing.

Of course the big attraction is the big boot in the lobby. Upstairs there is a small "museum" that has some interesting displays. Downstairs they have machines that will measure each of your feet to get the "perfect" othodic for you.
