ryan's mountain rentals (rmr)

I wanted to do something fun for my sons 29 the birthday and Ryan's mountain rental was top of the list.. We made arrangements and Ryan was extremely accomadating. We rented a 4 seater for my son and his wife two small kids plus a two seater for myself and a friend.. Ryan gave us a map of the area an emergency locator in case we need help and said go have fun... We were gone all day and had a blast... Thanks Ryan for making my sons birthday so wonderful!!! Well worth the drive from Twin !!

I reserved a Polaris ATV over a month ahead of time for our first trip out to Idaho. Ryan called me a week before and said he would be out of town but would try to arrange another way for me to pick up the ATV. I agreed to meet him on Tuesday when we landed, two days before the rental on Thursday so we could handle the paperwork and payment. We landed Tuesday and drove straight to Ryan's to handle the paperwork. We got there and made small talk and then I asked about taking care of the paperwork for Thursday. He said "Oh there's no way I can rent you anything on Thursday." So much for making a reservation. It turns out he got a better offer to rent his gear out to a large group at another location. I guess reservations really don't matter. I just couldn't believe he strung me along the whole time and couldn't even call me to tell me not to bother coming by. That's of course besides the fact that he blew off my reservation when something else came along. Buyer beware here. Not a reliable person to deal with. Have a Plan B.

We contacted Ryan off a flyer we found at the Ketchum Starbucks, and headed down Valley to Bellevue (about 20 minutes from Sun Valley) with my three kids, a girl 14, and my sons ages 13 and 7. Ryan had our four seater ready to go, provided us with a map, some instruction, and an emergency gps locator, and sent us off. An hour later we were atop an 11,000' peak, exploring an abandoned fire station. We continued over hill and dale all afternoon. We have been coming to the Wood River Valley for many years, but this was the first time we'd gotten so far off the road and seen some of the interesting valley, mountains, and ranchlands that are otherwise really hard to get to. Fun way to spend a day in the Valley!

Great people, who answer their phone, equipment was well-maintained. Was nice to feel like they appreciated is being a customer. Well worth it. Thank you!!!

Ryan is very knowledgeable of the area and is great to work with! His equipment is in excellent condition and he provides his customers with a GPS Spot tracker to insure each adventurer has a safe trip. We will definitely try to visit again. The country and wildlife is awesome!

We rented a Polaris Razor UTV (4 seater side by side) from Ryan and had a awesome day in the Idaho mountains exploring the area. The trails are accessible from the shop or you can trailer the ATV's / UTV's to where you want to go. Prices were very reasonable for a full day of riding. Couple tips, bring a lunch for when you get out into the mountains, we found a great location next to a river to eat and relax. Ryan will give you a map, and tell you the best spots to head to. He also equips you with a locator in case there is a problem, you simply press a button and help is on its way. I took my family and everyone had a great time. One last thing, please go slow through town and by the houses, you can open them up in the back country, lets keep this activity alive. I'll be back out there again my next visit, unless I buy a UTV before then! Thanks Ryan!
