The Snake River Valley has several wineries here in Idaho that make great wine, are friendly, and just plain fun. Everyone enjoys visiting wineries. To name a few, Ste. Chapelle, Indian Creek, Fujishin, Sawtooth and many more.

Got a terrific introduction to Idaho wineries from Kathy and Dan. It's like spending the day with two great new friends, friends who just happen to be very knowledgeable about the Idaho wine industry, local wineries, and the area in general. You'll see some beautiful scenery, enjoy some wonderful wines, learn a lot, but most importantly, have a fun and relaxing day. As a first-time visitor to Boise, I had no idea how spread out the area is, and some of the wineries are in remote locations. You could spend all your time studying a map and stressing out over how to most efficiently get from place to place, and still miss many of the hidden gems of the Idaho wine industry. Instead, I recommend spending the day on a Winery Seekers tour. The beauty of this company is that they will completely personalize your day for you based on what types of wine you like, what areas you'd like to go to, and what you'd like to learn. We spent the whole day and got to see four different wineries, each with something unique to offer. Meeting some of the owners, winemakers, and managers offered a very personal and memorable perspective. As Kathy and Dan are part of the Idaho wine community, they can get you into some of the smaller, less public wineries so that you can sample wines and see areas that are off the beaten path. Kathy and Dan went out of their way to make sure that we got the most from our experience. Kathy was a excellent communicator all the way through, and even took a number of great photos at all of our stops, which she forwarded the next day. She was tremendously professional while still keeping everything fun. It's clear that Kathy is extremely knowledgeable about Idaho wine, and wine in general, but she is also an exceptional listener and communicator, so it always felt like a pleasant one-on-one conversation rather than a prepared lecture. A Winery Seekers tour is an incredible bargain for everything you'll experience. Truly, this is the way to go if you want to get a real feel for what is putting Idaho wines on the map. Highly recommended to wine geeks and newbies alike! Visitors will receive get a nice glimpse of the Idaho wine region, and locals will no doubt come away with a renewed appreciation for their flourishing local wine resources. This tour was truly one of the highlights of my visit to the Boise area - it will be for you too!
