We arrived forty five minutes before closing time but the manager was happy to provide the four of us, tastings and a cheese plate. When we realized that it was closing time, we asked if we could stay a bit later, and the manager had no problem with letting us stay while she did her closing duties. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and cheeses and the process were so affordable. Would return here in a heartbeat.
A friend bought a little wine adventure from an auction and invited us along on the journey. We were given a very in-depth wine tour! Sipped on wine as we walked through wine education. all the equipment was explained in detail. Tasted wine out of the barrels. When we finished with our tour we had a wine flight, paired with really good cheese. Again, more instruction as to pairing. We left feeling a little more educated- and with wine and cheese in hand. Nice evening!
Tucked back off the main road. Great wine tasting experience. They know their stuff! They offer a lighter fare of food, but we had already eaten. Would go back & try their food & wine. Great wines, just not big into the sweet wines that I like.
My wife and I enjoy trying the wines produced in different parts of the country. We enjoyed their wines and each bought a glass and shared a cheese plate. It was the middle of the day and we were the only ones in the tasting room. The gentleman helping us was nice enough, but he seemed uncomfortable - like he wanted to be somewhere else. A young lady entered the room and spoke to him. He later told us that she was one of the co-owners. I would think that if you had two customers enjoying your wine, you would stop and say hello. At least acknowledge their presence.Probably won't go back.
Very charming setting, indoors or out. Variety of quality wines, cheeses, soups and salads. Beer is also available. Enjoy a glass of wine or a whole bottle, or try 6 for 6. Highly recommend!
Winemaking knows no bounds... anymore... This is a cute shop and decent tasting experience. Knowledgeable staff and worth a stop on your visit.
Very well done with great wines from the north country and Ms. Gates is wise enough to realize that not all like wine and has a good beer list as well.
Lots of atmosphere. A place you will want to return to.As it is quite popular, sometimes crowded but worth the wait, especially if you have ner been there before.
Nationally rated. Washington grapes. Try the Viognier and their blended red, Opulence.
A friend decided to have a birthday get together in downtown Coeur d'Alene, but we weren't meeting them until around 9pm so my husband and I decided to stop at a few places to eat and have a couple drinks beforehand. Our first stop was the Barrel Room No6 (Coeur d'Alene Cellars) for a couple glasses of wine and an appetizer plate. I have to say I was very impressed by the plate that we had. For $12 there was enough food to feed 4 people and it was all delicious. Gourmet Cheese, Kalamata Olives, Salami, Baguettes, Pickled Asparagus, and Peppercini's (spelling is probably not right on that). Will be back!
